I have a gallery that: when selecting the options, I need a Reset button that resets all the options marked on the radio, but I don't know how to do it.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I see !!! @Joaoandrebs
Can you try this
On the OnSelect property of your Reset button add this
UpdateContext({resetRadio: true})
On the radio control's Reset Property
resetRadio
Radio Control's OnChange Property
If(resetRadio, UpdateContext({resetRadio: false}))
Default property of the Radio Control to
Blank()
I tested this out and seems to be working !
Cheers !
Hello @Joaoandrebs ,
Can you please share more context of the application radio control:-
1) How is the values in the radio control being set - is it a collection or a connection to a datasource ?
2)What is in the defualt property of the radio control
3)What is in the OnChange Property of the radio control
Thanks !
@Anonymous_Hippo Firstly, thanks for reply,
he is in the gallery and makes a collection through OnSelect.
Default:
OnChange:
OnSelect:
Thank you for sharing @Joaoandrebs , Can you also share the following :-
1)gallery's items property (what is the connected data source ? - a collection or a sharepoint list ?)
2)Also what is the gallery's item property
3)Currently what is there on the OnSelect porperty of the "Reset" Button
1)"AtividadesSTS" = my SP List. The Collection based on radio, plays the role of catching radio's results and put in the "DadosGerados" = my SP database List (results)
2) Items propriety:
3) OnSelect Reset button:
Note: the // = some drafts, and there are formulas that could be wrong.
Thank you @Joaoandrebs
I am assuming that once you click on the reset button you would like to patch the value "OK" to all the items in your sharepoint list column for SP list AtividadesSTS
For this please do the following :-
In the OnSelect property of the reset button do this
ForAll(AtividadesSTS, Patch(AtividadesSTS, ThisRecord, {/*Add name of your column*/: "OK"}));
UpdateContext({resetVar: true})
This command will go through all the records in the 'AtividadesSTS' list and set the radio column field to "OK" for each record. Then it will set the resetVar
variable to true.
Now, change the default value of the reset control to
If(resetVar, "OK")
This command will set the default value of the radio control to "OK" if the resetVar
variable is true
After resetting the radio controls, you would likely want to reset the resetVar
variable to false so that the radio controls will keep their selected value after being clicked again. You can do this by changing the OnChange property of the radio control to:
UpdateContext({resetVar: false})
this way could lead to a large number of calls to your data source if your list is large, and could therefore lead to performance issues or hitting API limits. Be sure to take this into account in your app design
Let me know if you have any questions
Cheers !
@Anonymous_Hippo Thanks for the answer, but actually what I need is more simple,
I need that every time I click on the Reset button, the values that were marked on the Radio, are RESET, that is, they are all blank, removing all previous markings!
I see !!! @Joaoandrebs
Can you try this
On the OnSelect property of your Reset button add this
UpdateContext({resetRadio: true})
On the radio control's Reset Property
resetRadio
Radio Control's OnChange Property
If(resetRadio, UpdateContext({resetRadio: false}))
Default property of the Radio Control to
Blank()
I tested this out and seems to be working !
Cheers !
