String / Date-Time error

I have a date column in the SP list.  At the beginning of each month, I need to change the date to the following.    

1st Wednesday if the ‘NationalOffices’ column contains ONP and the ‘Status’ column eq to Active.

2nd Wednesday if the ‘NationalOffices’ column contains OSO and/or ORP and the ‘Status’ column eq to Active. 

3rd Monday if the ‘NationalOffices’ column contains OFO and the ‘Status’ column eq to Active.

4th Thursday if the ‘NationalOffices’column contains OAMB and the ‘Status’ column eq to Active.

I am not going to try and figure out your expression, but based on the error message (doesn't have the expected format 'String/date') for your MeetingDate. The date format Power Automate excepts is the ISO8601 format, so make sure it is in this format when you pass it to your workflow. It would look like this: 2024-04-18T16:00:32.748050

That looks correct. And running that alone returned 2024-04-26T00:00:00. This seems correct as April 1 plus 25 days would be April 26. However, the error messages says the problem is with this, item/MeetingDate, which is not part of that expression.

ok little lost there.  meeting date is the date column i need to update automatically.

i am trying to convert string into date time with following 

convertFromUtc('targetDate', 'Eastern Standard Time', 'yyyy-MM-ddTHH:mm:ssZ').  but keep getting error

Your expression is not correct. You need to replace 'targetDate' with wherever this comes from in the dynamic content picker. If it comes from the trigger, it will look like this in your expression: triggerBody()?['targetDate']

Try this expression instead:

formatDateTime(convertTimeZone(variables('targetDate'), 'UTC', 'Eastern Standard Time'), 'yyyy-MM-dd')

Replace UTC with the time zone you are converting from.
