Trying to create automated schedule for lab tests

I am trying to create an automated scheduling system for my lab tests. For my samples, they need to be tested at different time intervals (2 days, 1 week, 3 months, etc.). So I want to be able to put on my calendar the day that I created the samples, and then  it would generate the days I need to test them automatically on my calendar and remind me on those days to test them. Would anyone be able to help me on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Here is one way to achieve your goal.  In my example, the words Test Plan need to be in the subject (so events are not created for all of your email).  I use expressions to add days - those expressions can be seen in the Notes for the actions.  Let me know if this works for you.

You are correct - your issue is that you are using the utcNow() expression.  In my example, I used the original events Start date/time and the original events end date/time.

Hi Scott,

This method definitely works if I am only trying to create 1 or 2 testing days. However when I try to add more than that, it creates hundreds of the same event in one day (As shown in the image copied). I am also unable to set up the schedules for tests I created in the past or planning for the future. For example, if I knew I created a sample last week and I put it in the calendar it won't input the correct days for the tests I need. Instead, it sets up the schedule based off of the day it is currently. Same thing if I am planning on creating samples in the future. I would put that date on the calendar and it wouldn't generate the future testing dates, instead it just created those testing dates using today as a reference. Do you have any ideas?

I have copied another image as an example of the issues I am running into. I tried to set up the schedule based off the sample I made on June 22nd. However, it generated the dates based off of today (July 14th). It also won't stop adding the same event to the same day. We went from +223 of the same event to +1035 in the span of a few minutes.

I should have controlled for that...  When you create the entries for a number of days out that triggers the Flow again...

I will have a solution for you in a few minutes...

Scott,

You are amazing! That helped with the repeated events. However, I am still struggling with getting the test dates to correlate with the dates the samples were created. It is still generating the dates based off today rather than the date I put on the calendar. Is this because I am using the addDays function incorrectly?

For example on the two day pull I have it as addDays(utcNow(), 2) should I have put in a different value instead of utcNow() ? Your help is greatly appreciated!
