Hello, i develop a bot in teams (pva) type bot chat ( classic), now i want to use the new version copilot, but the option to update is disable and i can convert to the new .
If the is not a solution for this ,how can i import all the information in a new bot?
From a 'chat' point of view, yes, but from a Teams app perspective, it remained unique.
Maybe you can programmatically remove/hide the 'old' chat (chat: hideForUser - Microsoft Graph beta | Microsoft Learn) but as it's not usable anymore, it will quickly get buried.

Interesting experience, following through the steps required to do this.
So, the outcome is that the original Chatbot (Classic) will be disabled and considered deprecated (but still required for future modifications):

while the new Chatbot (Copilot) replaces it, notably by the new name:
From here onward, I need to maintain both Chatbots (Classic and Copilot) since there may be future modifications.
Is this congruent with your experience and understanding?

Hi @JLKM, as of now there is no way to do an in-place upgrade, so migrating a bot to the latest version will create a new bot, with a new bot ID. If you've deployed to Teams, by deploying with a Teams manifest, you should be able to update the Teams app so it points to your new bot.
I was able to do it by keeping the Teams app id in the manifest, but updating the version and botId to the new one.
I updated the app to the new version in the Teams admin center.
End-users were prompted in Teams to update the app in order to continue using the bot.
This resulted in an in-place update of the Teams app (but in my case this created a new chat).

Is there a way to convert the Chatbot (classic) to Copilot version without creating a new one, because the Chatbot (classic) is already live and in use, it would affect a lot of users. Thanks

I see - then the best is to upgrade to the full premium version of Copilot Studio:

If your environment is set up with US region, you should have access to all features. Otherwise, Microsoft released the new features for a bunch of other countries on the 15/11/23 where you can't find anywhere and no one knows which countries are apart of nothing is working properly atm.
So, try to change the region to US and the features will come up.
