Submit button

Posted on by

Hi there,

I have a form on Bot Framework Composer and now I can use it on PVA.

Since the form has  a Submit button, I would like to know how can I address the submit button to send the form information to my email?

Thanks in advance,

Fernando

    Sure.

Create a new topic using the Open in Bot Framework Composer option in PVA:

Create a new dialog, and then make sure you are on parent dialog inside left left hand menu, and then click on the arrow on the right by Dialog Interface to expand it:

Once expanded click on Add New underneath "Output"

Give it a name and a type i.e. string and an optional description:

Then in your dialog, you can set the property of this output variable by using the Set properties action:

    Publish the bot.

When you then call this topic in Power Virtual Agents, you will see the output variable it has provided back to the topic.  You must redirect to the topic from another topic to be able to see the variable.

If I have solved this for you, please accept this reply as a solution.

    Thanks.

    @Monkeyman

That would be great to achieve. Do you have an example where I can follow?

That's what I have at the moment:

    Cheers,

You could create dialog.result output variables, and then pass those variables back to Power Virtual Agents, then call a power automate cloud flow to email you what you need?
