Corrupt column in dataverse unable to delete

I added a new lookup column to an existing dataverse table called PointFileID. The process did not seem to be complete as now I have a column that is a text field and not a lookup that is causing problems. I can view the data in the table in powerapps if I do not include that column, adding that column generates an error. I am unable to delete the column, and get an error that says: 

Sql error: Generic SQL error. CRM ErrorCode: -2147204784 Sql ErrorCode: -2146232060 Sql Number: 4924

 

If I try to open in excel, import through access, export data, Dataflow,  or try to manipulate the table in any ways I get an error that says SqlException: Invalid column name 'cr019_PointFileID'.

 

The column does not have any dependant objects or required objects. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There is a tool in the XRM ToolBox that could help delete or edit the column called Attribute Manager.

You connect to the environment, select your entity (table) and attribute (column), then the operation to perform.

@Robotsmash I would recommend raising a support request with Microsoft to get the field deleted

I have the same issue and the support team keeps on asking me to try to find the relationship which of course I have checked already and there is no dependency.

@RMCoder XRMTOOLBOX can't help I have tried.  The same error message is in the log.  Let's see if the support team can help me to delete that column.  

 

Have you sorted out the issue btw @Robotsmash

I gave up a while ago and started a brand new table and adjusted my apps accordingly. I had an excel file that was connected to my table that I had downloaded prior to my new column, which did not have the column assosciated yet, and it was able to fetch the most up to date data so I could move it.

MS support is able to delete the corrupted column for me at the end.  Just FYI.  But they can't provide me any causes of this error.
