Multi Select Option Lookup

Hi, I wonder it is possible to make a multi-select option set but using a lookup option (in the documentation it called partylist). For example, the required, and optional field in appointment entity. I have read this. But I still confuse how to implement that solution, is there any simple way to make this. thanks before 🙂

Not really. Party lists are not creatable by users and exist to address a particular problem where a record needs to be both associated with multiple records and those records may be of different types (usually account, contact and user)

The user configurable version of partylists is to use record relationships to define the connection between 2 entities and then use the association functionality to manage the relationships.

https://pcf.gallery/n-to-n-multiselect/ and https://pcf.gallery/nn-tags/ are PCF components you could add to your form to display the relationships.

As per the previous post, you can't create custom partylist relationships. Two other options are:

1. If you only want to link to entities of the same type, use an N:N relationship
2. If you want to link to entities of different types, you can use connections

I don't use either of those as none of my clients need such a solution. Both PCF's were however written by Developers I trust and who know what they are doing.

Is it possible to modify an existing PartyList to add in a new datasource? For example, if I have a customer list in a custom table, can I update the PartyList for the built-in Phone Call activity table, so I can reference my custom customer list in the Call From/Call To fields?
