I answered a thread about this today and could not find anywhere it has been posted before. 

It is well documented how to save the contents of a multi-select combo box to a Single Line of Text field, but not so how to successfully get it back into the DefaultSelectedItems of the control.

Do you have a need to display a date as a Julian Calendar date?   While the date pickers cannot show this....
