Business Rule doesn’t save a change in a read-only field

If you change value of a field by a business rule, the field is set as read-only on the form and the record already exists (update), the new value is not saved. It doesn’t seem ok for me. It should be saved as on the new record form. The business rule should set setSubmitMode(always) when changing value of a field.
