Send email with attaching file uploaded from microsoft forms

I can't send an email with a file attached that has been uploaded to my form.

This is a little bit more tricky than it may look.

Microsoft Forms saves the file in a folder in OneDrive and, when running, returns a JSON with all the file's information. When we catch the reply we need to parse that JSON file that can contain one or more files (since the users may upload several files) and fetch them from OneDrive.

Here's the first part of the workflow:

Notice that we're fetching the file directly by its ID that is provided in the JSON file.

The JSON definition is as follows:

Then you need to do a ForEach to get each file and then you can send them.

After the flow runs the email is sent successfully.

Thank you for your answer.

It's work, but he attached file is not the same as the uploaded file in the form. I tested with a PDF and when I receive the email it is not a PDF attachment.

Can i solve it ?

Hi @Anonymous 

It was my fault, sorry. I provided you with a screenshot that the file name is fixed. You need to provide the one in the JSON so that you have the file and the extension.

Here's the area to change:

"Attachment Name" add the field "name" from the JSON.

But I have a last question : Do you know how to change the name of the file that is uploaded in the form and then moved to my OneDrive?

Hi @Anonymous 

Yes, I do :). But it's a workaround. There's no way to do a "Rename," so you have to use the "Move" action with the new name that you want and then "Remove" the old file.

Thanks for posting this, it has really helped me with the flow I am making! However, I would like to use the 'get file content' for sharepoint rather than onedrive, since the form that I am getting a file from is a group form, and so the files are stored in a group sharepoint through my university. 

The code you provided to put in the parse json doesn't seem to work for it... it comes back with 'file not found'. Is this because the parse json code needs to be changed when using the sharepoint version of 'get file content'?

It is very useful for me.

I have one more question, when I have multiple file, the powerautomate will send multiple email, each time contact one attachment from, I guess that it depends on the array. Is it possible to the attachments in one email instead?

This is perfect. Works great! I am trying to attach three images that are uploaded through the Microsoft Form to the email. However, it only attaches one image. How do I capture all three images?

Do I need to create two more Parse JSON steps for each image?

Then add two more attachment's in the same way?
