Re: Dynamics 365 record selected vs record is created difference?

Hi Crminnovation,

I have some updates for you.

At present, please use the “Dynamics 365 – when a record is created” trigger. The "Dynamics 365 - when a record is selected" targets a future integration and will shortly be hidden until the integration is live in production.

Best regards,

Re: Dynamics 365 record selected vs record is created difference?

Hi Crminnovation,

Thanks for feedback.

To test this issue, I create two flows. They are triggered by “When a record is selected” and “When a record is created”.

When I click the “i” icon, I got the same explanation “Triggers a flow when an object is created in Dynamics 365”.

Then I create a new record to trigger the flow. The result is that the flow triggered by “When a record is created” runs successfully. While the flow triggered by “When a record is selected” doesn’t run.

When I click the ellipsis on the flow which is triggered by “When a record is selected”, I found there is a “Run now” button.

I am going to confirm with these issues on my side, once I got any updates I will back to you.

Best regards,

Yes, I found that confusing as both 'help' bubbles had the same information.
