Embedded Connection - using a group email account?

Rather than creating Flow under my own work account, I was given a service account to use.  I believe the service account was created as a person's account but shared between SP admins.  I logged on as this service account and create a flow. However, each time I run the flow, it keeps giving a warning and error message on the following steps

  • Create File - it asks to select a connection again
  • Update File Properties - "Error executing the api '/$metadata.json/datasets/'"  When I remove the library to reenter it again, it says "Could not retrieve values, error executing the api" '/datasets'

Does anyone else have issues using their own personal work account as the "embedded connection?"  We just started using Flow so I'm not really sure what else my account would be used for.

The service account has full control over the team site.

Re: Embedded Connection - using a group email account?

Hi @Tamras ,

As far as I know, if you want to create a SharePoint online connection, you need Office 365 user account.

It seems that the service account you mentioned is used to create a SharePoint On-premise data connection.
