Combox empty when using deeplinking

I have combox on my powerapps form which I am using as a people picker when I view the record through a deep link the combox shows as empty, please help.

Set its DefaultSelectedItems Property of the Combo-box to specific or selected Person using Lookup functionality.

What most likely is happening is that there are some variables that are not being initialised when using deeplinking. Please verify and take corrective action when needed.

In case you can't find the issue, please share how the combobox is supposed to be populated.

I apologize for the lengthy message I just wanted to make sure I don't leave out anything. I hope this all makes sense.

There seem to be multiple contributing factors:

1. in the DefaultSelectedItems property, none of the variables that you initialise in the App.OnStart property are being referenced.

2. You are using a lot of different variables for effectively the same thing.

3. The column used to store the data for LineManager and BUApprover are text type columns

4. The columns  used to store the data for LineManager and BUApprover can contain multiple values.

To address this, first you need to check which of all of the variables actually has a value. Second you need to separate the multiple values and then apply and run a SearchUsersV2 function against all of them.

This will make the formula for the DefaultSelectedItems property for the LineManager combobox on the NewHiresIQb screen look something like this:

To apply the same logic to other forms/combo boxes, you need to replace the variable/column identifiers (varGetRecordforBUApproverForm / LineManager) to match what you wish to show.
