Atbot - providing multiple choices based on a sharepoint filter

Hi,

I am working on a chat bot that will pull granular address information based on whether they reply North, South, East, or west on the question around region.

I then have a sharepoint list which has items and a column called Region which has these values in.  What I want to do is then provide a choice back to the user, where if they choose the region the different addresses are displayed as a choice.

Example:

If they reply North

Then it should look at the list and pull back the Address field which will have the North set as the region i.e.

Address 1

Address 2

Address 3

But it only pulls back Address 1 as a choice.

Can anyone help ?

After the Get Items push the results into an array. Before you push the details check the value exists then do not append the array.

I now just want to split each address into a choice button.

We are nearly there 🙂

Declare a variable called NewLine as string type. Under the value press the Enter  Key

Loop your array results and use the flow expression 'concat' with your array elements and NewLine. Store the results in another new string variable called 'useroptions'.

Finally get the ouput of useroptions mapped to Choice Values.

we are so close I can taste it !

Unfortunately, I never got any response out of the "How about one of these" choice section in teams.

Also the list that I get back has to be a distinct list of addresses

The concat says:

concat(variables('Address_Choice'),variables('NewLine'))

Hi @Anonymous ,

Whats the format of the output values (Choice values)? You need to iterate the values and check the value is already there. So ideally an array might be a good idea. The finally your array will have distinct values. Finally iterate the array vaues and use concat function to append the new lines.

When you retrieve the address lines push that into an array in a loop. Before you push the value check this value is already there. This way you can eleminate the duplicates.

Once the array is constructed you can read all the array elements and use the concat technique to add the newlines. Finally use this output to map the choices so that it will display line by line.

So initialise an array variable. Then the output of the join goes into that. When you say check the value is already there ? What do you mean by that ?

You need only distinct values no duplicates. So check that value is already there.
