Boolean Condition check on Dynamic Column Names from Array

Hi

Goal: create an array with dynamic values to filter "AssessmentQuestions" on column Category

• Check for each value in varCategoryColumns (array)
  • if value in "AssessmentPlanning" / CategoryColumnX is true then
    • add CategoryColumnX to varFilterCategoriesArray
    • do nothing

Challenge: Condition doesn't recognise / accept provided values from a given array. Result is always either "string type error" or "false"

Given:

• Sharepoint list a: "AssessmentPlanning" with columns:
  
  • Title as String
  • CategoryColumn1 to CategoryColumn3 as Boolean

• Sharepoint list b: "AssessmentQuestions" with columns:
  • Question as String
  • Category as String (values Category1 - Category3)

• Init variable as array (varCategoryColumns)

"CategoryColumn2",

"CategoryColumn3"

]

• Init variable as array (varCategoriesFilter)

[]

I already tried with several compose actions (e.g. item()?[variable('varCategoryColumnsArray')]) and others... search for the types to be used and how to convert the string to an accepted type... As I'm not a developer (surprise!), I really struggle to get this simple condition running. I searched a lot, found a lot and tried a lot - now I'm desperate and cry for your help.

initialize variables

check for available categories in QuestionCategories and create varCategoryColumns

Result:

And this condition is exactly the struggling point. I tried already many things but nothing worked.

e.g 

• output('getElement_AssessmentPlanning')?[items('identifyCheckedCategories')]
• items('identifyCheckedCategories')
• ...

either the condition result ends in a string type error or result for all = false

Here's the function:

outputs('getElementAssessmentPlanning')?[items('identifyCheckedCategories')]

I assumed that this will concatenate the list with the item. But this doesn't work as the compose returns nothing.

What kind of operation you're trying here? 

This looks invalid.

outputs('getElementAssessmentPlanning')?[items('identifyCheckedCategories')]

IIRC, It checks the outputs('getElementAssessmentPlanning') is not null then return the array value but it is not doing any comparison operation. 

Please let me know, exactly what condition you're trying to do here ?

I try to create a reference for the condition.

If "getElementAssessmentPlanning" column "varCategoryColumns" is true then do something else don't

y = "getElementAssessmentPlanning" element (call it ID12)

x = the actual variable taken from the array "varCategoryColumns"

Loop through the values in the array "varCategoryColumns" with for each 

If ID 12 "Testmanagement" is true, then...

If ID 12 "Testdocumentation" is true, then...

If ID 12 "Testengineering" is true, then...

Hope this helps to understand the issue a little bit better... It's quite difficult do explain. I really appreciate your help! Many thanks!
