Create a new user via "User Template" from Microsoft 365 Admin Center

Hello All,

In the Microsoft 365 Admin Center you can create a User Template

"User templates allow you to quickly add new users with a saved configuration. There are two ways to add a new template. You can add one here or, when you add a new user from the Active Users page, you can save all the settings for that user as a template."

Is there a connector or step in power automate that would allow the creation of a new user via this "User Template"?

Like many of you I am creating an onboarding flow to create new users, assign licenses, assign groups and Teams. It is the licensing that is the current stumbling block. Yes, I am aware of creating an Azure security group and assigning licenses there and then assigning the new user to the security group. It turns out my organizations tier of service does not allow for assigning licenses to Azure security groups.

The "User Template" in Microsoft 365 Admin Center does allow for license assignment. Hence this question on how to use this in a power automate.

Hello All,

I thought I would share the response from PowerApps & Power Automate support:

"As we spoke on our last call, unfortunately there is not a feature that can help us automate the template assignment for O365 users to facilitate the licensing assignment in your development."

But then there was this glimmer of hope:

"I do understand the requirement and together we even voted an idea to have this process fully automated."

I am under no illusions that my request will actually result in any immediate action. But, I will hope.
