Flow Trigger on Button with values from PowerApps

Hi, 

I have a PowerApps and have 3 Dropdowns

1) HotelCode
2) Year
3) Month

and after selecting I want to pass these values to flow by pressing the button and then make a flow so that it creates records according to this:



The Item names will be static and there are 6 items per Hotel code and per month and year.

My Flow is something like this: 

I have hardcoded hotel codes in the apply to each but I want to pass that code from PowerApps to this loop.

Hi @MustH , we require to change trigger to PowerApps from current Recurrence trigger and add flow in the Powerapps.

Here is an article explaining how to Adding flow to PowerApps.

Add a button and set it's OnSelect property to:

Well, I am passing Hotel Code and Year DropDowns Values from PowerApps to Flow:

As the user wants to create the Record of all the months of a year (which is selected in dropdown) of a particular hotel (which is selected in dropdown)

I created the flow like this:

1) I have stored the Passed Values into Variables like this:



2) I have used the variable of Hotel as an array in apply to each

 

3) Now, for all the months, I will enter all the months as (1,2,3,4,56,7,8,9,10,11,12) in Month Apply to Each (right now its 1 for testing)

and then as I have Get List of Items in which the loop will run, I will not hardcode text like (ABC-1, DEF-2...)
for Item Apply to each Loop



4) Now, I will create new rows in SQL Server, 

in a Loop like:

 

But I want to create DATE dynamically too, 

I have Month in (Apply to each) and Year is in (variable) and I want to add 1 for all the dates. 
only the Month will change if the loop is on that month.. 

Like: 
if Hotel Code: 210 (which is passed from PowerApps)
 Year            : 2024 (which is passed PowerApps)
and if Month: 12 (in Loop) 

The Date should be saved in Database like this 

Item	Month	Year	Date
Item1	12	2024	2024/12/1
Item2	12	2024	2024/12/1

 and so on till all items.

I cant set date like that in formatDateTime it gives error.

Hello @MustH , Let's say someone select April i.e., 4th month then we want to loop from 01 to 04 and add new records for all the items. Please confirm.

The user will select Year and Hotel from DropDown and then I pass the Hotel and year to Flow in Variables.
Year = 2024 

and then I have hardcoded Months in Array in Apply to each.

and then I have used another Apply to each of Items in which each month have item lines like this:

the Date should be saved in Database like this 

Item	Month	Year	Date
Item1	12	2024	2024/12/1
Item2	12	2024	2024/12/1

but I am getting problem in FormateDateTime Function:

My expression is: 

formateDateTime(Concat(triggerBody()['Initializevariable2_Value'],'/',items('Apply_to_each'),'/1'))

Hi @MustH , there is a typo mistake in the expression. Please use the below expressions and let me know the results

its working for Dataverse Database

I have tried this expression but it's not working for Azure SQL Database... 

formatDateTime(Concat(triggerBody()['YearVar_Value'],'/',items('Apply_to_each'),'/1'))

I want to create a data from the Year variable above and the Month in current apply to each 

in SQL the Date format is Month/Day/Year 

it gives String error or ISO Date Format Error

But I will try it on SQL and then let you know
