Get Email Attachment from Shared Mailbox

I have built a flow that gets the attachment of an email and proceeds to save this attachment in SP. This flow is working for my personal Outlook.com mailbox. I have duplicated the flow and tried to use it with an Outlook.com shared mailbox but I cannot seem to get the attachment.

The shared mailbox flow fails with the error;

The only difference in the mailboxes is that when I was testing with my mailbox, the email was arriving into the root 'inbox' folder. With the shared mailbox, the email rules are setup to move these emails into the subfolder 'inbox/alerts'. I have selected this subfolder in the flow action settings.

Firstly, is this get attachment from a shared mailbox supported?

Secondly, when I add the Get Attachment action for the shared mailbox, the flow seems to automatically created a nested apply to each when I insert the message id and attachment id - why?

Yes, Attachments from shared mailbox is supported.  here is a flow i built. i do want the loop because it could contain multiple attachments. but from my experience it creates loops based on the item you select. in this case the attachments can be one or many so it makes it possible to support the many.

Also it looks like you are passing in a value. as where my flow passes in the attachments. for your apply to each. please try the function you see here. (this is probably why you have 2 loops)

in my scenario the mail comes in the inbox. but i dont think that would matter.

Thanks for this. Does this also work if the email arrives into a subfolder?

I have an Outlook rule set in my shared mailbox, when an email arrives with the title 'Stats Report', move in to the subfolder Inbox > Reports.

I cannot seem to get the attachments from this subfolder.

All everything i just typed disappeared, so i will say i have never searched sub folders, i do recall some flows asking for a folder though. you'll need to check. also i recommend hoovering over the (i) on the email V3 and see what it says. usually they say if it searches subfolders or not.

But i can also say i use flows to move emails. you could add a step in to receive the email then send notification then move it into the reports subfolder. i do use this functionality with all the reports i receive. in my case the typical flow is to take the attachment put it into a folder so that reporting tool can pull the data in then move the email (with attachment) into the processed folder.

Then just turn off the outlook rule,

The reason i prefer power automate cloud is because i dont need to have the PC turned on or active, it runs automatically.  i had macros to do these but it required PC to constantly be on.
