Insert row in excel sheet on mail reception

Hello, i trying to save answer i receice from mail to an excel sheet.

I add condition on subject that containt 'OUI' and 2 actions (if yes, if no)

If flow staff can access to my flow, this is url  https://flow.microsoft.com/manage/flows/f171160b-9a71-4595-8b6b-670ea3f1e0ef

In log file of exection flow, i have :

- new mail is OK.

- Condition stay black and i have no detail, on top right, still have "?" displayed

- On action if yes :

Error

• Code
  ActionConditionFailed
• Message
  The execution of template action 'Insert_row' is skipped: there are no items to repeat.

- On action if no

Error

• Code
  ActionConditionFailed
• Message
  The execution of template action 'Insert_row_2' is skipped: there are no items to repeat.

Don't understand what i'm doing wrong.

Have you tried to do this without a condition? Then, at least you will know whether the connection works and then later worry about the condition. So basically for every mail that comes in you do this first as a test.

Hi, perhaps it has to do with your settings though. I just tried the same thing containing a filter for OUI and it works. Please see below for what I did with settings. 

I used: Office 365 work account and Excel Online file. First I created the xlsx file and added a table which contains 1 column: Kolom1. Rest of the settings are as in the image below and also the result (note first few lines are without condition)

Your problems may have to do with the language. Try changing Inbox to the name of Inbox in your language. Then leave HasAttachment and IncludeAttachemnts fields blank. Your mailbox may not be understanding the word True. Test with an email with attachment (somehow the defaul is to only proceed if there is an attachment).

Let me know if you found anothe solution because this is defintiiely not a solution, just a test to check wether you have the same language problem I have.

- Yes i have tried to do it without condition. It's works fine. A line is inserted in excel file

- my tests is very similars to yours excep i had an action for "if no" and my excel table have 4 columns (where i insert from, received time, name, and "OUI" or "NON").

- I notice langage pb before when i saw in log file "inbox does not existe", so i add a rule filter to move to a folder "foo" all incoming mail with OUI or NON in subject. My inbox is "Boîte de réception" and i troubleshoot this pb later.

- I didn't test mail with attachment, i will do that and let you know results.

Not particulary relevant to the thread but thought it might still be useful. 

hasAttachment is boolean field. If set to true, then the trigger will only fire when you receive emails with attachements. 

includeAttachements is also a boolean field. If set to true, then the next action will get access to the email attachments and run, as many times as the number of attachments you get on the email.

For eg: If I wanted to run a flow that copies my email attachments to OneDrive, then both fields should be set to true.

Just to see if I understood it properly

hasAttachment is boolean field.

If set to true, then the trigger will only fire when you receive emails with attachements. 

If set to false, then the trigger will only fire when you receive emails without attachments, right?

So if you want to apply the same action to both incoming emails with and without attachments, you need to create two independent flows, right?

@efialtes The labels are a misleading. We will try to fix that. 

if hasAttachment = null or false, then the "On new email" trigger will activate on every new email with or without attachments. 

if hasAttachement = true, then the "On new email" trigger will activate only for new emails that have attachments. 

Hence, you wouldn't need to create two flows to apply the same action on emails with and without attachments.

Creating two flow was the only solution that worked for me. Not ideal.

If you let hasattachment as null or false the flow wont save your attachment to onedrive as I needed and I believe most people need.

I did test then, trigger on mail run only when mail has attachment, whatever i can set true, false or null to hasAttachment field.

i notice that when i set false to hasAttachment field, the value is lost when i edit again flow, field is empty.
