Logic condition keeps returning false

Hi,

The purpose of this flow is to create a Planner task from an Email with attachments.

The attachments are saved in a SharePoint folder. Links to the folder are included in the planner task:The general flow

When I test this Flow with an E-mail with 2 attachments, it is completed. But the logic test however returns a false.

The result is that no attachments are saved and the planner task created does not have file-links.

This is the formula in the logic test: equals(body('Get_email')?['HasAttachment'], true)

Any ideas why this test is not working as intended and how I can fix it?

In your Get Email step did you set include attachments to 'Yes'

Can you try to use the attachements from the trigger part itself? 

I am guessing you are trying to get this flagged email only in the get email action? (correct me if I am wrong)

Get Emails flow action got a property called 'Has Attachments'.  I can see from your screenshot it is an expression function. You can directly access this property. See below.

Hi @NilsBruijel ,

You could consider using the Expression below to determine if an attachment is included in the email.

Or if you only want to specify the email to include the attachment when the flow is triggered, you could directly set Has Attachment field to Yes.

Cheers @yashag2255 :  Yes, this how I configured it also. See my component: Include Attachments is set to YES. I cannot explain why they are not "seen" by the logic expression later on in the flow.

This is how it looks like in mine and it is working just fine. 

Can you check the email that you are flagging? Also, can you try clicking the test button in the flow screen and then go to your mailbox and flag an email to check if you continue to face the same isssue?

@yashag2255 I suppose because you progress straight into the logic condition after "When an Email is flagged"? In my flow, I first initialize a planner task, which I later try to update with attachments (if present). Maybe either the successive "When email is flagged" and then "Get email" interfere. Or the scopes interfere. I also do not get the option to choose "Has attachements" option. This is what I get (Graph function?):

While running the test, it does seem to iterate 3 times (the flagged email has 2 attachments .jpg and .png). So my guess is the attachments are registered, they just keep failing...

The Graph part is something that I have never seen before. But still, i Could see the Dynamic selector options under the Graph in the ash colored text. Can you find the Has Attachments in that? 

The attachments are being fetched appropriately but there is a wrong reference in the condition statememt that you have to fix. As there was another suggestion to use the length() function to check the attachments. did you take a look at that?

the function is length(). I can see that in the error you have lenth(). Kindly check and confirm that you are using the right function in the expression.

@yashag2255 Thanks, you concur that it is the logic expression that is somehow the culprit, too right? I tried the suggested length() function by @v-bacao-msft , but this gave an error.

Has Attachments is somehow unavailable in this step. I don't get why not...

This is wierd. What you can do as a resolution is, try creating a new flow from scratch. In that yse the trigger when an email is flagged and add the condition action just after to check if you are getting the Has Attachments option. 

If so, now keep that condition as is and start creating the actions between the trigger and the conditiona s you have in your current flow. Do the same for the actions after the condition. Can you check this on a new flow and update if you continue to face the same issue?

@yashag2255 Whoops! Little error on my part. 😉 Corrected the expression to Length().

Flow completed succesfully, but yet again: no attachments where found (logic test returned FALSE). Maybe it is the Scope that is screwing things up...
