Schedule a flow from power app

Hello community experts,

i have an adaptive card which is build using power apps

I would like to set the date and time of when that card should be posted using power apps

Is it possible?

If yes, how do I achieve this requirement?

@Sumaira , you could store adaptive card in SharePoint list via PowerApp along with the date it needs to be sent on, and then create a Flow with recurrence trigger to check the SharePoint List to see if there is any adaptive card to be sent to the Channel on daily basis.

Can you please guide me through initial steps?

I can manage to store date and time from power apps to SharePoint

But how do I get started with initial triggers in power automate to check if the date and time matches today's date and time?

You will also need to store adaptive card json from PowerApps to list, if you are generating json from PowerApps and you dont want to generate same Json from Power Automate.

So assume your SharePoint list is structured as below:

Columns:

1. AdaptiveCardJson (Multiple lines of text - plain text)

2. DatetoPost (Date - Date Only)

List name: Adaptive cards.

Create the flow as below:

1. Flow trigger as Recurrence to run daily

2. Use Get Items to get items from Adaptive Cards list, provide filter query as below in GetItems action

DatetoPost eq '@{formatDateTime(utcNow(),'yyyy-MM-dd')}'

 3. Then use Apply to each action to loop through values of Get Items action, then use "Post your own adaptive card as the Flow bot to a channel"  action to post the adaptive card to teams channel, there in Message property provide the adaptive card json from the AdaptiveCardJson column of Get Items action.

I dont want to use "Post your own adaptive card as the Flow bot to a channel", because it doesnt accept multiple users responses when posted in a channel

Instead of that I'm using MicrosoftTeams.SubscribeChannelFlowContinuation Connector in power apps to post cards directly to a channel so that multiple users can respond

Please Advise on how i can run flow on daily basis or monthly based on the option selected in the dropdown from power apps
