Sending an email based on the Bucket name or Bucket ID

Hi,

I am hoping someone can help me with this.  I have the following flow which has been successful in sending out emails due to iterating through the buckets and finding tasks that are a certain number of days away (as a reminder) what hasn't been successful is only attributing this criteria to specific bucket(s).  For example I have Bucket A, Bucket B, Bucket C and Bucket D - the flow iterates through each morning at 9 to see if there are any tasks that have a Due date in 7 days time, if that is a match it then needs to make sure the task resides in Bucket A and not in any of the other buckets.

Any help will be gratefully received.

hi @AnnaJordan is not posible to change a task from bucket B to bucket A

But you can create a new task in the bucket A with the same details from task in bucket B and the mark as complete.

Maybe you can tell us what your difficulties are based on your current configuration. I'm afraid I'm a bit unclear about your needs based on your description?

Please provide more explanation so that we can provide you with the appropriate workaround.

@v-bacao-msft thank you for responding.  The difficulty i am having is that emails are being sent but not filtering through the buckets.  At the moment i only want emails to be sent if they are in Bucket A and not the other buckets.

@ChristianAbata thank you for responding however i am not sure i understand.  I am trying to create a flow that looks at all the tasks that have a due date in 7 days time and is in Bucket A, it has to meet that criteria before an email can be sent.

Hi @AnnaJordan ,

Have you tried using this template(Create a daily summary of Planner Tasks by Bucket) to achieve your needs, you just need to add an additional Condition (Value name = XXXX) to the Condition.

@v-bacao-msft thank you for response.  I tried that however it didn't work, I had to make the addition of formatdate to ensure return of date format and had to add Get user profile to make sure the email was sent to the correct person depending on the task - however as with other tries the flow runs successfully but doesn't send any emails at all.
