Syntax for Coalesce function

Using PA to write MS Form data to a SharePoint list. I have about 80 questions on the form and a bunch of branching in the forms, so not all the questions are answered when submitting. Most of the questions are required, so I'm using the Coalesce function to solve for the errors. This is the syntax I have:

coalesce(triggerBody()?['DI2: How many expired lots have not been transferred to the dump bin (still in active, usable inventory locations)?'],'0')

The function completes without an error, but it's not recognizing the first part of the function. It's writing 0 instead of the answer to the question (which is the field name in my SP list.
