When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox 'From' trigger not saving external emails

Hi all. I have created a series of flows that move emails based on the 'from' email address to move from a shared mailbox to a series of different mailboxes. Again, these are based on the 'from' email component. It has worked beautifully in the past and has continued to work for me. Today, I tried to create a new flow, and it is not allowing me to enter a 'from' email address that is outside my company directory. It never saves the entry. However, I CAN type in email addresses from within my company and they will save. I am the only person at my company currently using Power Automate, so I do not have the support to help on this end. I suspect it has to do with some type of permission that has changed? Any ideas would be great!

Try clicking on the two arrows at the top right of the "To:" box.  After doing so, you'll be able to enter an outside email address.

 I am probably not explaining myself correctly, thank you so much for your help. This is the screen I used to not have an issue with, and today, when I try to put an email address in the 'from' trigger, it won't accept an outside email address. I do not have the arrow option on the screen from this particular flow. I am not sure what has changed since I last created these.

Can you try removing and re-adding the Send an Email from a shared mailbox action?  I suspect that you'll see the arrows when you do.  This issue has popped-up in a number of posts recently.

I think the issue is that I am not explaining myself correctly. My action that has worked in the past is that 'when a new email arrives in a shared mailbox', I then want to 'move email' to another mailbox based on the 'from' trigger. I am not understanding why I would need to use the 'send an email' action? In the past I only needed to specify the original shared mailbox, the folder the email was going into, the 'from' email address, and then in the 'move email' action, I have highlighted the items I have filled in in the past and the flow worked. The issue now is that I am not able to add an external email address to the 'from' area.

 Sorry to be such a pain, I do not understand what changed that made this no longer possible.

I'm not sure what might be going on as I cannot replicate the issue.  I was able to enter an external email address and save my Flow.

@ScottShearer , that made me laugh, thanks! I think the issue might be in something my company did with permissions. It doesn't make sense why it worked before and now I can not edit old flows nor can I create a new flow using external email addresses. Thank you so much for the help, I will update this thread after my meeting with IT tomorrow. Appreciate ya!

Okay, no help on the IT side here, does anyone have a suggestion on where to head next? 

Basically, I am trying to add external email addresses to my 'when a new email arrives in a shared mail box' FROM option (which I was able to do 3 weeks ago), but now it will only allow me to add email addresses associated with my company. The IT dept states that they have not made any changes on their end. Can anyone think of a few ideas on where I might look next? I am wondering if it has something to do with where my 'connection' is pointed toward?

Can I go ahead and solve my own issue? Just got off a Teams meeting with Microsoft...the not being able to add an external email in this case is a KNOWN MS issue and they are working on a solution. (I was starting to get a complex about it...ha!)

I've recently been having this issue too and it was driving me insane.

I managed to find a workaround using Conditional Triggers which may be of use until Microsoft fix this bug.

In your Flow, click the ellipses (...) on your trigger action ( When a new email arrives in a shared mailbox (V2) ) and go to Settings.

At the bottom of the Settings dialog, add a new Trigger Condition expression.

The one I used, looked like this and would only trigger the Flow if the sender's email address was test@test.com:

@equals(triggerOutputs()?['body/from'],'test@test.com')

I received a few errors when trying to test the Flow with this modification but it appears to be working well in production.

Microsoft support have advised that a fix for this issue has now been deployed to all regions.

I've tested in our tenant and can confirm that it's now working as expected.

I created this flow to save attachments into a Sharepoint, but when I include the shared mailbox and test the flow, i got the following error:

Resource could not be discovered.

I Have full access to this shared mailbox, but i dont know why it doesnt work.
