Pass Test Results to Another Screen

@SebS

Hello Seb,

Our other post is getting a bit long, and this is a separate question regarding the Equipment Check prototype app I'm working on so I thought I would start a new topic. When the user clicks the "Submit Scans" button, they are taken to a confirmation screen. I would like it to show green if there were no issues with the equipment they scanned and red if even one of the checks failed in either the equipment or calibration column.

PassFail.png

I have 3 hidden toggles in the Collection gallery that drive the icon and Pass/Fail text displays. What is the best way to pass the results to the Confirmation screen?

Hidden Toggles.png

The Equipment text formula is:

If(tglMismatch.Value=false && tglActiveLG.Value=true, "PASS",
If(tglMismatch.Value=true || tglActiveLG.Value=false, "FAIL",
""))

The Calibration text formula is:

If(!tglPastDue.Value=false, "FAIL", "PASS")

Is there a way to tally points for the Collection and then set a variable to Pass or Fail based on whether or not the count of Fails is greater than 1? If so, how would I do that? Maybe there is a simpler way to achieve this??

Thanks in advance for your help,

Teresa

Just to be clear: Do you want a big label on top of the Screen stating that "Check Was Successful" if all Tools meet the condition of having Calibration and Equipment Match set to true ? but if even one of the tools breaks this rule, the User should see a Fail saign.

Good morning Seb! Yes, that is correct. I would like to navigate them to a Confirmation screen that displays Green/Positive message when all of their equipment has passed a scan check and a Red/Stop Work message if even one piece of equipment has failed any of the 3 quality checks. If it is easier to remain on the same screen and just surface a pop-up message, that works too.

Thanks for your help!

Teresa

What populate? Can you provide the name of the data source and the name of columns that provide data for equipment and calibration.

Hello Seb,

The name of my primary SharePoint list is 'Admin Desk Tools'. The Collection is being written to a SharePoint list called 'Admin Scan Log'. I gave each list the same column names (the internal names have no spaces).

  • Tool Asset Number (SLT)
  • Tool Description (SLT)
  • Barcode Value (SLT)
  • Operator Email (SLT)
  • TekTrace Bench ID (SLT)
  • Calibration Date (Date)
  • Calibration Due Date (Date)
  • Calibration Past Due (Y/N)
  • Mismatch (Y/N)
  • Active (Y/N)

Let me know if you need additional information.

Please copy the formula from the submit button. The best way is to capture all results when they are recorded in SharePoint in a small collection and then check if any item in the collection fails on match or calibration. If there is one fail provide warning.

Hello Seb,

Thank you for the response, but I still have a lot of questions. I realize it is the weekend and that you deserve to have a life so please don't feel you have to respond today unless you really want to.

Here is the formula from the Submit Scans button in the app. It is a Patch formula followed by 4 lines of other actions. Can you clarify A) which portions of the formula I need and B) where I would paste it in?

Should I set a global variable when the Submit Scans button is clicked and reference somehow in the Confirmation screen? Once the information is available in the Confirmation screen how do I write logic that will set it red or green depending on whether or not even one of the checks failed? Again, if it is easier just to surface a pop-up on the quadrant screen when the Submit Scans button is clicked, that would be fine as well. Still seems like some sort of variable would have to be set with If logic in it.
