Patch Function Checkout orders

I'm building a shopping cart, application. I'm currently working on the Checkout Functionlaity( Check Out Order Button)

I have created a button that uses a patch to send the Order deatils. This formula also returns me the ID of that record that it has just created: varRecordID. 

my formula :

I'm unable to debug the error here, Appreciate any help on this

Some of the error messages:

1. Patch has some invalid arguments
2. 'Shopping_cart_ordered' isn't recognized (I'm trying to create this Collection using patch function/Similar to Collect)
3. The Funtcion Defaults has some invalid arguments

All of this is the same issue - I assumed Shopping_cart_ordered was a SharePoint List - if it is a Collection, it will have neither ID nor Defaults - please confirm.

I'm not sure how to handle this scenario:

Idea is to store the ordered info somewhere else(next step is to power automate with email notification) other than the Original Shopping Cart Collection List.

Hence I'm using the Patch function to create a SP list and to store the Ordered deatils

Did you mean "Create SP List" or "Add new records to SP List" ?  You cannot do the first one - you need to create it in SharePoint first with all the field names and types required.

Yes, Adding new records to the  SP List , I have already created SP list calledShopping_cart_ordered, i'm trying to create Sharepoint Connection : getting this below error message:

The SharePoint connection should get semi-automatically added & associated to your canvas app when you add the SharePoint list to your data sources (you selected the connection after trying to add the list to the data tab on the left hand bar in the UI). The error message makes me think a quick hard-refresh or your browser & re-opening the app is in order.

1. 'Shopping_cart_ordered' isn't recognized
   Be sure the SharePoint list is added as a datasource to the Data pane & name exists
2. The Function Defaults has some invalid arguments
   Same thing as 1., it's not recognizing the Sharepoint list as a datasource
3. Patch error itself:
   For the last error, if it is indeed a SharePoint list you are trying to patch, double check the column data types (for example:

ItemTotalCost: Text(Slider1.Value * (Gallery2.Selected.ListPrice *.8))

makes me think this should be a number/float instead of a text no? (use Value instead of Text)

• BUT the last line in your first post Clear(ShoppingCart) seems to indicate you have a collection somewhere called ShoppingCart

My suggestion: use a collection and the "Collect" function to add items selected to a Collection ShoppingCart. once the user is done picking the items then patch the SharePoint list with all the contents of the collection at the time of ordering - you can always refresh that collection afterward by "ClearCollect"-ing those items the user just created from SharePoint (which will give you the IDs).
