Remove specific value from Combo box

Hi All,

I have a form which list all the details from a SharePoint. I have a text input field which loads the selected Id from gallery. I have a field called Action on RPC which when selected only as duplicate a combo box will be loaded with all the RPC Id's from the SharePoint list. I have two requirement now to be combined For eg.  when the  text input field has Id as 7(which will load from the gallery automatically when selected) the combo box should omit the selected Id and should list the other ID values and for eg. ( If there are two IDs 3 and 4 which is saved as duplicate that Id's also should not be listed in the  combo box.). Both of this should work in the same combo box. Is there any way to implement both the requirements in the same combo box. Any suggestions or help on this.

Just, remove the AnotherDataSource parameter:

I gave the code as:

)

and my dropdown is not listing the ID's. And if I change the formula

'RPC ID' <> Gallery1_6.Selected.'RPC ID' && !('RPC ID' in 'Action on RPC'.Value = "Duplicate")
)

to filter only When Action on RPC value is duplicate I'm getting an error stating Expected Text. We except text at this point in formula.

You said that you have a text input field which loads the selected Id from gallery.

Could you please tell me that if this ID 5 is the Gallery selected ID or somthing other ID that needs to be removed from the ComboBox? 

Please understand that I could not imagine your scenario😂, so far, I am also confused the two condition that makes the ComboBox omits some specific ID. 

I still think we could make it, just more details about the ID, I won't give it up.😊

Okay. Let me explain you clearly. I have attached my gallery where there are two ID's (2 & 4) whose Action on RPC value is saved as duplicate. since these two are already saved as Duplicate this should be omitted from the Values to be displayed in the Combo box. As per your question above, Yes the RPC ID 5 is gallery selected and I need to omit this too from the Combo box. So (2, 4,5) should be omitted from the Combo box and the remaining ID's (1,3) only should be displayed in the combo box. I hope now you can get an idea.

Thanks for your detailed clarification.😃

So we should firstly filter the Gallery to find out all the ID with Duplicate value(from 'Action on RPC'), here are ID2 and ID4. Then we need to combine the Gallery selected ID with these two duplicate ID.

You should set the Items property of the dropdown control(It seems like a Dropdown box instead of a ComboBox) as below:

Filter(DataSource,'RPC ID'<>Gallery.Selected.'RPC ID' && !('RPC ID' in Filter(DataSource,'Action on RPC'.Value="Duplicate").'RPC ID')).'RPC ID'

Note that the I assume you populate the Gallery with your Data Source directly.

I am using combo box and in the display and the search fields if I give RPC Id its not accepting the value.

That's another topic actually. That's related to your form settings.

Still, I could not imagine this. You could add a single ComboBox control and set the Items property with this formula, check if it works on your side. 

Not sure how you configure this ComboBox, and if it is an existing column in your SharePoint list, everything about this RPC ID's is important.

If RPC ID's is an existing column from your list, the edit form will automatically generate it based on its data structure in the data source. At this situation, you set it with another field, which may cause the issue you have.

The above formula works only when both conditions gets satisficed. What if sometimes Action on RPC value s not duplicate so only the Gallery selected ID shouldn't be displayed in the Combo box. that's expected 5 it should display (1,2,3,4). If I give Or in the above formula its not working properly.

Well, then you should tell me when you want the ComboBox only omit the Gallery selected ID? Or we just need to check if there is ant duplicate ID in your data source?

If there is any record with Duplicate (from 'Action on RPC'), we need to omit it and the Gallery selected ID. If there is none record with Duplicate, omit only Gallery selected ID, right?

I gave my combo box display and search fields as ["RPC_x0020_ID"]. It worked perfectly. Thanks a lot.
