Dear all,
I would like to create a simple form to record sales order.
So I already know how to create the gallery list .First, I will show a gallery list of Customer .
When I click on a Customer, I will navigate to a page to select the products from another the gallery list.
My question is:
when I hit the submit button, in sharepoint I would like to see each product ordered by a customer line in separate row.
For example , this is the desired output:
Customer Name __PRoduct ___OrderQuantity ___DateTime
A ___Product 1__ ___10_____________datetimestamps
A_______________Product 2___ 30
A______________Product 3___ 10___________
I am struggling with how to submit this into different rows. Many thanks for your kind help.
Solved! Go to Solution.
I have tried to create your issue in an app.
I created this database in excel with 3 tables -
1. Customer List
2. Product List and
3. Order Book (the screenshot shows the values that I collected in the app, however, initially this table was blank)
This below screen shows the customer list from where you will be selecting the customer. Set its onselect property to navigate to screen2.
Screen2 will have the product gallery and the fields would be something like the next screenshot
Set the Submit button's OnSelect property to
ForAll(Gallery4.AllItems,Collect(OrderBook2,{Customer:CustomerLabel.Text,Product: ProdLabel.Text,DateTime:Text(Now()),Qty:QtyInput.Text}))
This will collect all the items in the gallery and copy them to the table OrderBook in the columns as specified. In your case, OrderBook will be the sharepoint list where you want to save all the entries.
If you want to filter out entries where no quatity is entered , you can use
ForAll(Filter(Gallery4.AllItems,QtyInput.Text<>""),Collect(OrderBook2,{Customer:CustomerLabel.Text,Product: ProdLabel.Text,DateTime:Text(Now()),Qty:QtyInput.Text}))
Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any questions.

You can display the Order book in a gallery and then in another screen insert an Edit form with its data source set to Order Book and Item property to OrderBookGallery.Selected
You can then edit all the items and then use the Update or Patch function to update the record.
For update documentation, refer to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/functions/function-update-updateif
Test it out and let me know if you have any questions on that.

This could be a workaround -
You can add a label in the product gallery list and set its value CustomerGallery.Selected.Value and set its visible property to off.
And then you can just collect the complete gallery into the sharepoint list.
Let me know if you have any questions.

for some reason, my post was getting rejected and i had to make a small change - CustomerLabel.Text
Don't know if there was some offensive word hidden in Cust Label
Anyways, hope it helped.
