When delegation isn't delegation... confused maker

Note this is an existing PowerApp edit/add form (customised) that is working properly until making the simple change below.

Seeing a delegation error that only appears when trying to re-point the formula below at another List data source - 
Filter('Room numbers', building = buildingCard.Selected.Title)

The other data source is essentially identical, the only change being the sorting of the rooms in ascending order.

The new List is called... 'Room nums', is in the same SharePoint location and both Lists have less than 200 items.

So when the data source is added and the formula edited to point at that source - 

Filter('Room nums', building = buildingCard.Selected.Title)

...up comes the delegation error.

If the formula is changed back the delegation error persists.

What is it filtering? Good question, it's a "depends on" dropdown showing a conditional list of room numbers based on the selection of a given "building" in another dropdown.

This was triggered by a need to order the list of rooms by floor (Lower Ground - LG.xx, Ground Floor - GF.xx, 1st - 1.xx and so-on). As you can see, no out of the box "sort" would be applicable, the simplest solution was to arrange the data in Excel, then import it to a List. That way the ID numbers are sequential and the rooms are ordered as required.

Is there a better way to do this?

I am going to take a bit of a guess here that Building in 'Room nums' is a Lookup column.

Filter(
   'Room nums', 
   building.Value = buildingCard.Selected.Title
)

Thanks for replying.
It is yes. So there is a tiny "Building" List for the same named drop down. When that's selected the "Room" dropdown lists all the rooms for that building. The "Room nums" List has two columns, one for the rooms and one for it's associated building.

Hi,
Sadly it introduces a new error. "buildng.Value" isn't valid code for the data type (?)

But here's a thing, the delegation error has stopped appearing when the formula is edited. I have literally done nothing else to the app since posting this and the issue has "gone away" by itself.

I had thought the error was wrong, it made no sense at the time. I'm calling it an MS Glitch.

Thanks for your suggestion though.
