creating multiple tabs within a form

Hello,

I am currently working on a form that writes data to SP through a data source.

Right now I only have one form to fill out in my app, but the goal is to have two identical forms within the app that can be easily switched to by selecting a tab button to navigate to each one.

I also want to ensure that when the user submits the forms it creates two seperate entries. Does anyone know how to do this? please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Re: creating multiple tabs within a form

You can create a button/tab to switch between the forms. Make the visible property of the forms true when the respective tab is selected.

Additionally, you can create two separate forms which link to the same data source and submit them separately. For example your OnSelect property of your 'Submit' button would be: SubmitForm(Form1); SubmitForm(Form2)

This solution will allow you to switch back and forth between forms using the tabs and submit the forms with one click by setting the OnSelect property to the aforementioned formula.

Re: creating multiple tabs within a form

I tried this but for some reason I am not getting the second form to appear in SP. The second form is also already filled out for some reason.

Re: creating multiple tabs within a form

I created an example and it is working for me, I will describe the specific properties below.

Form1

DataSource = DataSource_A

Form2

DataSource = DataSource_A

Button

OnSubmit = SubmitForm(Form1); SubmitForm(Form2)

When I click the submit button 2 new entries are created in my SharePoint List.

Can you provide more information on what you have currently set up that is not working?

Re: creating multiple tabs within a form

@mccarthyk ,

I am currently working on creating a powerapp with a SP data source.

I currently have one form in the app, but I need to be able to create two identical forms that will both write back to SP, So i would Have Form1 and form2 which are identical and when I submit, it will create two entries in SP.

I am not sure what the best method is to go back and fourth from the forms, but they will be worked on at the same time.

Please let me know if you can help.

Thanks
