Re: How to create a microsoft flow schedule to trigger Powerapps

Can you explain a little bit more? What kind of actions in PowerApps do you want to trigger?

Normally you trigger a flow in PowerApps (with data from PowerApps). So what do you want to achieve?

Kind regards,

Merlin

Re: How to create a microsoft flow schedule to trigger Powerapps

Hi @Muzamir,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to trigger/fire an app from a schedule flow?

If you want to trigger/fire an app from a schedule flow, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

Triggering an app from a flow is not supported within Microsoft Flow. Currently, we could only trigger a flow from an app.

If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

Best regards,

When you've installed Flow on your phone, you can send notifications to your phone. I think this can solve your problem Smiley Happy

I do want to depend on the phone, as the PowerApps may not be active all the time. Microsoft Flow Recurrence like Every night is more reliable to send the notification.

Re: How to create a microsoft flow schedule to trigger Powerapps

Hi @Muzamir,

Why not use MS Flow to send the notification directly instead of PowerApps app?

Calling an app from a flow is not supported within Microsoft Flow currently. If you want to call/trigger an app from a flow, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs.

As an alternative, you could consider create a schedule flow on your side, then use the schedule flow to send reminder notification directly rather than call an app to send an notification.

Best regards,

Kris
