Dear Experts,
I have a text file uploaded in sharepoint which have hundreds of multiple line.
I would like to find only the line that have "{DOWNLINK_INIT {{} dn" and patch it to one of the column named "Choosen". Am I able to do so?
2022-11-28 16:27:47 AAA BBBBBBB {ERT_INIT {{} dn PLD61789 99 9 * last M A}}
2022-11-29 19:27:47 CNA RYRUBBB {DOWNLINK_INIT {{} dn PLD61788 88 4 * last M}}
2022-11-29 19:27:47 CNA RYRUBBB {ERT_INIT {{} dn PLD61789 88 4 * last M 88 A}}
2022-11-29 19:27:47 CNA RYRUBBB {DOWNLINK_INIT {{} dn PLD61789 88 4 * last M }}
Thanks

Before contains place item() instead of output.

If it is always going to be the same spot with the same number of characters, you can extract it with a substring expression. If it's not predictable spot or length, you'll have to do the split function again and try to isolate it based on what surrounds it. So if the word you want is always followed by 99 you can do a split(your text here,99)[0] and that will give you everything that comes before the 99 you can then split this again by split(output of the previous split,'} dn ')[1]
this will give you everything that comes after the "} dn " which should just be the word you want.
You can probably do a get file contents, then a split on line break then filter the resulting array. so:
1. Get file contents
2. a compose action with a return/line break
3. a compose action with with expression split({filecontents},{output from step 2})
4. filter array where the body is the output of step 3 and the filter value is current item contains {DOWNLINK_INIT {{} dn
After your initialize variable add a compose action. for the value just hit "enter/return" This will create the line break. Then add another compose action below that. this time the value is the expression:
Variable A needs to be string/text not array
Dear @srduval ,
I managed to make flow success, but the result not as expected: In filter array, I just need to have the whole line that have " {DOWNLINK_INIT {{} "
What criteria do you have in the filter array?
Before contains place item() instead of output.

Dear @srduval ,
Would you please help how to capture below word only? used trim but not working. Thanks

Dear @srduval ,
Apologies
Seems my result is failed due to array : Any help on this?
This is my result failed due to Array:
@Dear @srduval ,
Finally managed to trim using substring after change array to string. But I'm expecting each line if the keyword "PLD6178"... in filter array output i have 2 line...and this 2 line have "PLD6178" ...is that possible to fine both and state in Substring output...i would like to compare the output each other whether have same value or not.
Thanks for the help
If you leave it as an array, then do an apply to each action where the source is the body/output of the filter array, it will test each line independently. You can then append the sub-string outputs to a string variable.
Dear @srduval,
Almost it works but not as expected. The array output is different, but show same result in compose of apply to each....which is strange.
I would like this result to be update in sharepoint with condition
1. Keyword/compose output shall compare each other of compose.if same update the keyword.
2. if keyword/compose output not same, update all the different keywords in sp.
3. if keyword not find then state "not found"
uld like to update the output of the compose
second page
What is your substring formula in the compose 4 action? Looks like it's testing for a fixed item and not incrementing through the loop
Dear @srduval ,
I managed to come up with expected result, where the "compose 3" would have the different outputs by click the "Next". But how could I update the SP with Compose 3 outputs. Compose 3 "Next" basically may have different value. I would like to update all the different value in the SP.
Not sure I understand the question. If compose 3 is working as expected and generating a different value for each item in the array (what the "next" is showing you is the next line or row from the input array) and you are passing the output of compose 3 into your update file properties, what else are you needing/wanting to do/update?
