Hi Power Automate community,

I am using a flow to respond back to PowerApps. I have a PowerApps trigger and than Get Items from SharePoint. The Get Items from SharePoint requires an ID, but this ID is only applicable for the ID of SharePoint itself. I want the Get Items ID to be another ID which is for example Client_ID. This Client_ID I want to be able to specify it in a TextInput and thereafter for flow to return the data for that Client_ID. But when I enter the Power Automate code in the Onselect button, it won't let me enter the TextInput name. It says it expects 0. 

Can someone help me?

Yes the code is in the Onselect button, for example Flow.Run() and I need to specify the Get Item ID which should be Flow.Run(TextInput1.Text). But according to the error the Run function is not expecting any value.

@abm  sure,

As you can see, it is a Power Apps trigger and when I enter the textbox it showed me this error. Further, in the integer expression I have code it from scratch. Most of the times when I am using an expression, it let me use an expression it let me choose from the dynamics but in this case it haven't.

Remove the existing flow connection from your PowerApp and add it again. Looks like there is a refresh issue here.

@abm  I have tried it but unfortunately it keeps doing the same thing.

Maybe I need to change the code in expression?

What happens when you set the code flow.run is that shows (preview) it expects any parameter?

Add a Compose action into the flow, straight after the trigger. In it, find "Ask in PowerApps" dynamic content. Now save and then back in your App, remove the flow from the app and re-add it. The output of the Compose action can be used in the ID field of the Get Item action.

Of course you can put "Ask in PowerApps" directly in the ID field of Get item, but it locks you into a particular data type, while Compose is data type: any.

I have tried with the compose input in the ID field but it will not return any values. Now, after the compose input I have insert a Filter function to filter the Get Items lists on the value in the compose inputs, but I don't know what to do next in order to get the ID that correspond the value in compose inputs. Do you know how can I insert a function that is similar to LookUp in Flow?

Hi @JB0007 

Believe PowerApp is passing the id and your flow is failing to get the items? Could you post a screenshot of the filter of your Get items?

Hi @abm  I have changed my Flow and I have create a new one from scratch. This is my flow:

I have an put a code in my Onselect: 

ClearCollect(NewCollection, PowerFlow.Run(Value(TextInput1.Text)))

But when I click to see my collection it only says "true". I want to show the name and more details.

There's no LookUp in Flow like there is in PowerApps, but you can do a similar thing with the Odata filter in the Get items action.

Click Show advanced options in the Get items and in the Filter Query, you can put some parameters with which to filter by:

Use the internal column names. If your column has a space and you created it in Modern view by doing Add column in the column headers, then remove the Space, e.g Column Name is ColumnName. If you created the column as a site column or a list column in the site settings or list settings then the space is replaced by _x0020_, e.g Column Name becomes Column_x0020_Name as in my example below.

If the column you're searching is a string (Single line of text) or date then enclose the filter term in single quotes e.g Column_x0020_Name eq 'FilterTerm' but if the column is numeric, then omit the quotes e.g Column_x0020_Name eq 12. In the screen shot above the example is a numeric value, without the single quotes around the dynamic content.

If you're sure your search will only deliver one result, then in the next action, do Get item, and in the ID input of that, go first(body('Get_items')?['value'])?['ID'] in the expression editor

You will now have all the dynamic content from the item you found with your filter. Of course you can skip the Get item and go straight to Update item, but if your list has several required columns, it's easier to first do the Get item so you can easily fill the required fields with dynamic content from the Get item.

Looks like you int expression issue is solved now. Check the flow run history and see the response body (last step of your flow)?
