Problem in flow trigger

Hi all ,

This is long pending existing issue, when we update any record in CRM frond end UI ,the flow is triggered 

 The problem is , when the data updated through plugin or workflows , then the MS flow is not triggered, 

Any one please help me in this issue ,what is the issue that the why the flow is not triggered

I would have to test in detail to see if what you are saying is correct.

For now, let's presume that what you are saying is correct. If you are correct, it may be because it's not supported from Plugin or Classic Workflow. I am not sure this is true though, I might have to test that in some detail at some point - I'm really not sure this is correct honestly as I may have recalled getting this to work correctly before, regardless of whether the trigger was a Plugin, a "Classic Workflow", or the D365 product UI.

If what you are saying is correct, and that is assuming if  it is correct, then in that case you can try and use HTTP Request as the trigger instead of the Flow and from the Plugin which is updating the record, pass the parameters and issue a HTTP POST request directly to the URL of the HTTP Request trigger Flow.

To preserve the functionality where it is working from the UI as you are claiming, and again this is all assuming you're correct in the first place (or in case you need a workaround idea very fast regardless of the facts), you would have another Flow with the original trigger from D365 and then one HTTP Flow Action that passes the parameters in similar way the Plugin did, except just from the Flow HTTP Action.

For the moment, only other thought is: 

Are you using on-premises CRM or online cloud crm? If it is on-premises, check for any issues with the on-premises gateway. 

Other than this, it would be all the advice I can offer you for now.

You might have not received a response yet because the question is more difficult than others, it also involves custom C# plugins so it would require specific skillset and even so, take more time to test than other questions. With that said, I do invite anyone to go ahead and check on this, as I would be curious on the results as well.

In case I have extra time @Haishu I might see if I can test this in detail for you, because if what you are saying is correct I do not know the exact reason why it is not supported. I think it is supposed to be supported, but I would have to test and find out if you are right or not. I offer the above workaround idea for now just in case.
