Sending a null value to flow in PowerApps

Hi Community Members

I am trying to a integration between PowerApps and Flow. I am trying to send some data to flow from PowerApps and it works fine when the data is there but doesn't work when I pass a blank or a null input using the Blank() function. Anyone else facing this issue?

I am getting an error on the PARSE JSON action like: "Invalid Input. Expected String but got Null."

Schema Passed:

{
    "type": "array",
    "items": {
        "type": "object",
        "properties": {
            "Field1": {
                "type": "string"
            },
            "Field2": {
                "type": "string"
            }
        }
    }
}

I am trying to update the value for Field2. How can I ignore the error if a blank is passed through the canvas App?

Thanks in Advance!

Hi @Kpreeti1256

Can you share more details? To pass null values in Power Automate, you can use the coalesce function : https://www.bythedevs.com/post/how-to-pass-a-null-value-as-an-input-while-using-a-manual-trigger-in-...

For the PowerApps part, you might want to adjust the schema in Parse Json as mentioned here: https://www.sharepointsiren.com/2018/10/flow-parse-json-null-error-fix/

Hope this Helps!
