Yes that changes things a bit however, the error message you get is a bit strange. The column should be found only as far as I know you can not use the Odata filter query on lookup columns, so your result would be empty.

A workaround could be; get the Id of the lookup value from the list where you have your lookup to, and then use that Id to get the correct Items.

So

  1. Get items on the list where RD18 is originated with a query RD18 eq '[your value]'
  2. With that Id you can do a get items on the list you want with RD18Id eq '[id from your result above]'
  3. Then you have the correct item.

Maybe there is an easier way, but not to my knowledge.

This can be done, however you're Id of the first list is probably not the same as the id of the item in the other list. So you first need to get the item of you're Asset register. In you'r Odata query you can specify the column you want to match the items.

For example in the get items below, where I get all items in a list where the request Id should match with the request ID I have in the list where the item is modified:

do you mean like this? sorry im a bit confused,

does it matter that the lists are seperate sites?

ie. its gettting sent from "finishhours" in the site https://ozmining.sharepoint.com/sites/Pajingo/Production/Lists/Haulage%20Operators%20Log/

to SMU in this site

https://ozmining.sharepoint.com/Maintenance/Lists/assetregister/

Hi @Anonymous

Not exactly, You must be able to match the created item in the Haulage Operator log with an item in the Asset register. In that way you can collect the corect item that you want to update from the Asset register based on the item in the Haulage Operator list. Let me illustrate with a simple example

I have a list with products, which contains the product as title, and a column with price:

Product A   $10

Product B   $20

Product C   $30

Product D   $10

And I have another list, with also the productnames, prices and a bunch of other information, lets call this list 'product details'.

Now, when I change the price of Product A in list 'products' I would also want to change the price of Product A in list 'product details'

So I build a Flow:

1. trigger when Item is created or modified in the Products list:

image.png

2. Get items from the product details list where the column product is the same as the title of the item created or modified:

image.png

3. For that item (Flow makes it a for each, beacause potentially it could be multiple items) I update the property price:

image.png

image.png

So in your case you should

  1. Have a column in the Asset register which can be matched with a property on the item created in the Haulage Operation log.
  2. You should then get the items in your Asset register where this value equals the value of the created item.
  3. And then update that item with the value finishhours of the created item in the field SMU of the collected item.

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have more questions or if something is not clear.

Hi does it matter if say the column is a lookup column? im getting the following error?

Column 'RD18' does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user.
clientRequestId: 9b8e7519-b59f-46fc-8f82-1dafeda35a4f
serviceRequestId: f5c7c99e-80ff-8000-17dd-9b1c1fd287c8
