date format in mail by Dynamic content

Hi, 

First of all, Power Automate is new to me, so be gentle wiht te technical explenations please. 

I'll try to outline my problem. 

I have created a flow that checks the content of a List and automatically sends an emial. 

Works properly, and mail arrives correctly at the adres in the List. 

Data is also included in the mail by means of "dynamic content"

In the mail itself however, the data is displayed as year/month/day. 

Is there a way to change this?

Actually I was hoping for a screenshot of your Flow Designer showing the sequence of actions, and something more detailed explaining what you were asking by "Can I use both in the same action?" Without knowing what action you mean, it's impossible to guess at the answer.

ok, i think i'm a bit stuck right now. I modified my List and now the flow doesn't work anymore. 

I get this error;

The expression "verzending eq 07/17/2023" is not valid. Creating query failed.

The column is the List is named "verzending"

Look at your SharePoint verzending column. How are the datestrings formatted? If they're not formatted identically to the way you're formatting utcNow() in your addDays expression, then make them both the same.

If you can't make it work that way, you might consider using a Filter action (after the Get items) instead of the ODATA expression.

I have now adjusted my variable in the flow as well as the format of my date in list. Think everything is the same format now.

Also system date is the correct format

Still getting an error when testing.

Sorry, I don't understand what you mean by this.

Instead of trying to filter using an ODATA expression, insert a Filter array action after the Get items action:

Here's what's behind the value label in the From: box (assuming your Get items action is named Get_items_2)

ok, this solved the date format issue. However, now the match between current day and day in column "shipment" is not considered. Now all records are sent and not just those with the current day.

The problem now is that the notification is sent for every record in the List. And so don't take into account the date in the "shipping" column. So I get a message of a wrong day.

I meant for you to compare the outputs between the two actions highlighted below:

??? Do I have to enter data there that I want to filter?

I don't want to rule out any dates at all.

The intention is that the flow will automatically look in the list to see if a day matches the current day and will therefore send that record.

IF>> date in column "verzendig" matches the current day >> send mail to adres in column "Mailadres_1" and "Mailadres_2". 

IF-NOT>> no notification. 

When setting up this post, only the date format was a problem. The mail was sent correctly, and only on the desired days (current day).

Now, in fact, nothing works correctly anymore!

It's starting to get frustrating.
