Hi @urklnme

Can you try creating manually a Content Snippet with the Title: CustomerService/Support/SignIn and then put whatever message you want in there.

If it works, I will be expecting a beer 🍻🤣

Hi @urklnme ,

I am not sure where you are seeing this message. I have checked all the content snippets and couldnt find this may be the best way I suggest you to get your problem solved is to raise a ticket to Microsoft.

Please find the following thread that will guide to raise support ticket

Hi, I can actually find the message in the old ADX source code. But I can't find where it's being used at.

Can you share a snapshot of where the message is showing? Maybe if we can reproduce I can see how the Portal is calling it. This might be a bug though

Many thanks go to:  MISTER Oliver "The Man" Rodrigues who is the expert and has proven it.🍺

Would you like to clue everyone in as to where you found that site setting?

Hi @urklnme I am glad it worked.

Here is my line of troubleshooting:

  • I have the source code for xRM Portals Community Edition
  • Microsoft made the Portals source code available once they acquired ADX Studio, but this is a very (very) old version of the code
  • The code contains a .resx resource file with lots of strings which are the Default values in case there is no Content Snippet in your environment, that's why it works with or without the Content Snippet record
  • I found your message there, but I couldn't find in the code where it was referencing - and that's why I was insisting for which page/snapshot it was coming up
  • Once I saw the page I remembered that the Customer Service Portal / Community Portals (and other portal templates) have very specific Web Templates, so that was my next guess
  • Via Advanced Find I search for Web Templates (in my local environment) that contains the following in the source: CustomerService_Support_PleaseSignIn - this is the reference that I found in the Source Code:

OliverRodrigues_0-1611680809661.png

  • From there I open a Web Template that referenced that message and found the following:
<div class='alert alert-block alert-info'><p><span class='fa fa-info-circle'></span>{% editable snippets 'CustomerService/Support/SignIn' type: 'text', default: resx['CustomerService_Support_PleaseSignIn'], escape: true, tag: 'span' %}</p></div>
  • As you can see, there is a reference to a Content Snippet in this code, which is the record missing from your environment

  • The project in Git Hub was recently archived as it is very old at this stage, but if you want future reference you can still access/download it via https://github.com/Adoxio/xRM-Portals-Community-Edition

@OOlashyn  I remember you have a list of hidden Snippets online but I couldn't find. Can you share the link? Not sure if this one is listed there.
