Using Entity Reference in the Entity Form

I'm a bit lost when trying to set up an entity reference on creating an account. I hope somebody can help!

I have a N:N relationship between account and contact, for example a "CEO" relationship.

Now I want the CEO user to add an account, that will be related to him with this N:N relationship.

So I go to the Entity Form tab "Entity reference" and select:

- Logical name -> Contact

- Relationship -> CEO (new_contact_account_CEO)

Reference Entity Source Type -> At here I only can select "Query string" and "Record linked to current portal user" (translated). So I'm missing "Current portal user" itself. Or did I miss an important previous step?

By the way: the option "Record linked to current portal user" is also not in the MS documentation.

Thanks!

Elowy.

Just had a third call with Microsoft. They really try to help with this problem. However, the "Current user" option isn't available (anymore) in the portal. They will change the help documentation.

A suggested workaround is to add a contact lookup field (or use portal contact owner) and add the current user in that field (that is possible in Additional Settings tab of the entity form). And from there create an entity permission for this relationship so the newly created record is shown right away to the user. That works fine!

However, be aware that the specific user will remain rights to show the record as long as his name is in the contact lookup field.

If this helps ..... Im trying,  to do something similar but a little more complex, in any event one thing I did see that may work

Primary Key Query  Use 'Query String' , then use 'ID' as the string Parameter or whichever parameter is being passed from the creation of the process. (you can  check these, by starting a session then going back to your web form definition select the sessions tab. It shows current active sessions and the parameters its passing through)

then the Drop down select the relationship that your using.

Primary Key Attribute name should auto fill.

Entity Reference Tab -

Save Entity Reference on Save "True"

Logical Name would be the Account

Your CEO Relationship name

Target Lookup would be the otherside of the relationship, CEO ID I believe

Populate Lookup Field 'Yes'

Hope this makes sense, Ive been up for many hours....

I contacted Microsoft and they confirmed this is an error.

They will get back to this...
