License confusion with Unattended RPA Plan

Hi folks,

I'm trying to run a flow I created in Power Automate Desktop inside of Power Automate (Run a flow built by Power Automate Desktop (preview)).  I can't run the flow and see the error:  "Your flow was saved, but could not be enabled because of billing restrictions."  There's a hyperlink "Learn more" which goes to the pricing page to buy a subscription.

When I click my profile pic > View Account > View Subscriptions I see what I think are the two relevant ones (screen capture below).  I pay $40 for the first and $40 for the second.

What else would I need to purchase in order to build this type of flow?  I'm the admin for my account and I see that my credit card was successfully charged.  Or perhaps, is there something hidden in the setup which is overlooked?  I've been poking around for a few hours and just can't figure this out.

Thank you!

Bradley

Well, if I could delete my post, I would have as I figured this out and solved my problem...

I used to think that if I just searched around some more I discover the answer, but now I'm sure that the solution comes to me only after I post on a forum asking for help...

I asked our IT to purchase this below app and am still getting the same billing restriction message after purchasing the subscription.  It's not the same plan?  This is what shows up in our company powerapps.com store page.

You'll need at least "Per-user plan with attended RPA" to use Power Automate Desktop

Hi @fraenK and others,

I got the subscription but I continue to get this billing restriction message.  The subscription shows up under my account profile, as shown below.  I tried creating a brand new workflow but same error message.  I would appreciate any help with this issue/situation please.  Our IT says I have the subscription and not much they can do.  Thank you for your help!!!

Do I need Unattended RPA add-on??  And do an Instant Cloud Flow to run on date/time schedule to trigger Power Automate Desktop flow??

What's your configuration of the "Run a flow..." action?

I created a new desktop flow with 1 action that opens a browser and tested it.  If I select Attended, it gives me this green message and I'm able to turn the flow on and Run becomes clickable.

If I select unattended, I get the billing restriction message and Run is not clickable.

Should I do this??  I need to find out how I can do schedule like daily at 1am.

Because you don't have the "Unattended RPA add-on" license 😉

OK, understood.  So this worked, obviously in an attended mode and I was logged in to the pc.  I'm going to try setting it up in a pc and maybe have it not sleep/wake it up with windows task scheduler and drop the file.   ...maybe that's "attended"

Thank you for your help and I'll report back.  Thanks again, really appreciate the kind help, @fraenK

@bradleyNixon I wish you would've posted your solution because I'm having the same problem. I have a Per User License of Power Automate (the $15 version) and trying to connect to a Desktop Flow, but still receive the same error "Your flow was saved, but could not be enabled because of billing restrictions." whether I try to save the flow as Attended or Unattended.

Sorry. I screwed up. I had inadvertently added a 2nd connection to the Power Automate Desktop flow. Once I deleted that and changed the Run Mode to "Attended", it saved my flow without the error message. Thank you @fraenK you were correct.

Hi Folks,  Please forgive me for not posting my solution.  I found that what I was trying to do required the unattended license which I didn't have the budget for.

Just an idea, or maybe a dream.  I cannot afford to purchase unattended premium license.  If attended can run while a destination desktop is running with unlocked user session, can we not change the desktop setting to not close any user session?  I've been googling to find a way to keep a user session in Windows 10 going indefinitely (not log off, not sleep?) but cannot find any good one.

OK. Home use only. This is not a best practice, and could get you canned.

Hi @brandoncomputer

Thank you for the response.  What does this do and how do you implement in Windows 10 Home (or others)?  I suppose if the desktop is in a secured place, leaving it completely open with unlocked session is one way to run "attended" mode?  Or am I incorrect???

Save my code there with the .hta extenstion and run it. It is assocatied with mshta.exe

If mshta.exe is missing, it may be ran as a paremeter to hh.exe (this trick works on Surface RT where mshta is missing / inhibited).
