PAD - Desktop Flows GONE / OneDrive Error on Login / New Flow Greyed Out / I HAVE RECOVERED THE BACKED UP DATA but no way to restore via PAD.

Hi There - I am a new user this last week and had created 3 flows over 2 days. I would appreciate any help you can provide re the below to recover my hard work. If needs be I'll sign up to premium to get the support but was testing it locally.

ISSUES:

  • PAD threw a One Drive Error and I could no longer save my flow edits (rewaking sleeping Win 11 PC).Screenshot 2024-03-06 154724.png- My 3 flows have gone - I have found files in the AppData cache.
  • Rebooting the +New Flow icon is greyed out. (not accessible within Myflows > New Flow either)
  • I still get OneDrive Error on logging out and relogging in to Power AUtomate via Desktop. warning image attached simply saying "Correlation Id: 6d2da783-d95f-4ec6-8a08-ae5be58010be. The special folder isn't supported for the user."

DETAILS

  • - My account is a personal
  • - I had not used the web interface only PAD locally. I had not logged into the web interface I do not think. Hence possibly why it hadn't synced with the cloudScreenshot 2024-03-06 155413.png
  • - I used PAD with no issues for 3/4 days
  • - I do not use One Drive and was logged out by feault with it not running (i think). On the error I logged in to see if items are restored. One Drive

Screenshot 2024-03-06 155500.pngfolder now showing locally but not with flows

OTHER POSTS and what Ive Learned.

I have looked extensively for help and found many posts about deleted posts and restoring disappeared flows. The most relevant of which is HERE.

However as now my New Flow icon is greyed out (it was all fine before) I cannot use New Flow to recover the script.robin data manually via pasting in subflows?Screenshot 2024-03-06 160006.png

I have recovered the whole POWER AUTOMATE DESKTOP folder including 3 items in "Power Automate Desktop0 > Console > Workspace" which correlate with my 3 lost flows. The all have the script.robin file and controlRepo.appmask, flow.manifest, imageRepo.imarepo, package, pData.
However as I now cannot start a new flow I cannot go about reocing these the manual way.

Re my account - I have checked and it is a personal / family account although I use it to access Microsoft Ads so does that make it a business account?

WHAT TO DO??? - can support help??

SOLVED 😀

I did absolutely nothing. I went away - got grumpy and went to bed. Came back today and all is fine - god knows why? Cloud issue? OneDrive? Who knows - but I have down no downgrading or upgrading so maybe the solution is to just chill out and wait to Microsoft to behave and then return

Thanks for your help though.

@TTMH

If you're currently using the latest version, 2.41, and experiencing issues, consider downgrading to version 2.39.

After downgrading, recreate your flow using the recovered data. This process may help resolve any compatibility or functionality issues you're encountering.

Link to download version 2.39 - I will share in private message if required

I see I am running 2.41 - was there an update distributed since yesterday?
I only downloaded PAD last week?
Is there a log file to see if there was an update?

Hi @TTMH

Numerous individuals are encountering various issues with the most recent version, such as object instance errors and the inability to edit the flow. Many have found solutions by reverting to version 2.39. Consider trying the same approach.

After downgrading the version then still you are facing the same issue, then let’s assess the reported issue with different aspects.

THank you - could you share the link to the older version?

I have searched and gone to numerous pages included the one reference in other posts as below but cannot find the older versions anywhere?

Thank you, Deenuji !

I installed ver 2.39. As a result, my flow could be displayed after starting PAD !

However, when I clicked on the flow, I got the following error.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cannot edit flow.

This flow was generated with a PA newer than the currently installed version;
please download and install the latest version of the PA and try again.

Associated ID: fcc4c810-99ed-4c93-89fa-0c06e8773dbb

What should I do, update to ver 2.41?

@Atsushi8129

It seems that you've implemented certain features or actions within your workflow using version 2.41, indicating a dependency on this specific version.

So it might be worthwhile to attempt upgrading to version 2.41 and observe if it resolves your previous concerns.

After updating to ver 2.41, I was able to open and run the flow !
Thanks, Deenuji ! I hope to have another opportunity to work with you !

Hey, maybe it's a sign! It's like your computer is waving a little flag and saying, "Hey buddy, take a break! Go catch some Z's, and come back when you're feeling fresh!
