Hi,

I have a desktop flow which runs on VDI machine when i signed in(attended) when i sign-out and run the flow from the cloud it gives the following error

i checked all the group policy on the VDI and nothing seems preventing it to sign in and do the flow. Checked Event Viewer and shows NT Service\UIflowservice successfully logged on at the time when i ran the flow.

whatever i tried it just doesn't run on unattended...

Any help or advise please?

Hi

We do the same, and it works flawlessly.
Are you using the same credentials as you use, when you run it attended?

@Highboy

Well that's good for you, if you know what is the possible reasons to flag SessionCreationTimeout error? I menat i can see it does connect the VDI but something just timeout the flow?

Mind blowing....

What version are you running?
Is it a single flow that fails or all?

@Highboy

Version 2.17.169.2202 for Power Automate Desktop, not sure about the Cloud Power automate as i don't have access to admin canters to check.

Is it all you flows that fails or a single flow?.
Did you have the same problem with 2.16 or earlier versions of Power Automate Desktop?

@Highboy

Yeah, I had the same problem on 2.16 too and i thought after the update it will be sorted out but no luck. I created 2 flows which they run smoothly on attended option on the VDI.

Sadly, neither of them run when i change to unattended and schedule it to run at some time and sign off from the VDI.

Could you show how you set you scheduled cloudflow?
If you can, please remember to blur information that you don't want others to see.

Thanks for the reminder  Nothing Much to hide at this stage :). Just few more info, the way i connect to VDI is through VMware Horizon Client not sure if that is the issue but event recorder states Uiflow services successfully log on the VDI machine...just doesn't want to create user session. also i connect to VDI through Domain\username same way i set up for connection

Hmmm knowdledge about vmware horizon is zero, so can't help you about that.

@Highboy

Not sure if it is because of VM horizon, but Thanks for responding.

Have been reading a little about vmware Horizon, and as far as I can see you do need the client to connect and interact with the desktop - but I could be wrong 😊

@Highboy

That's right i use below client to log on VDI. Untitled.png

Just a guess, but I don't think it will ever work as it is a secure desktop...

@Highboy

Hmm that's might be true.. Maybe i ask IT to keep me logged on 24/7 on the VDI so Flow can run on it 😄

i am out of ideas lol,

it just that PowerBI can't be automated to export reports... through Cloud automate. Needs Premium Subscription etc..

Thanks again!
