Web Form Filling Populate text field does not update <input:value> property

I am using web form filling to populate a web form, element extract is below:

The element has been selected correctly, when I use "Populate text field on web page", I can see that the input field is updated with the correct text, however, using developer tools in Edge, the value property of the input field does not change, it remains blank. I have tried with both "emulate typing" both on and off, "If field isn't empty" replace text and append text. No setting has any effect.

I have tried using "Click link on web page" and clicking on the same input element before the "Populate" step and also after the "Populate" step, this has no effect. 

If I use the WAD Web Capture, again the same behaviour occurs. The input field populates, but the value property does not update and then when I click on the submit button, the page assumes all the input fields are blank.

When debugging, if I break the Flow after the fields have been populated, the web page will only recognise the text if I alter a character. eg: if I click in the input field and delete the last letter, the "value" property then becomes populated with the text in the input field.

I also notice that when the Power Automate extension sends an event, the event is marked as untrusted, compared to a keystroke from the user marks the event as trusted. Is there a way to force Power Automate send trusted events?

I am also facing the same issue and have not found a workaround.

Hi all, as an alternative, you could try populating the text field with the "Populate text field in window" action. This actions sends actual keystrokes to populate the field, in contract with the "Populate text field on web page", that uses Javascript.

Facing this issue as well in JD Edwards. My workaround currently is sending a mouse click to the first text field (luckily, it's always in the same spot) and sending keyboard input afterwards. Hope this is an action that will be fixed/improved!

Hi.. I have the same issue when using Populate text field on web page, however the text value entered is not getting saved after clicking on 'Save' button . .  I used "div[ aria-label='Assessment Version Description']>div>div>div>span>span" to point to the UI element.  The UI Element is a rich text editor where the default text is supposed to be deleted and replaced with intended text value. I used the 'Replace text' option to clear the text and tried both,  I have tried with both "emulate typing" both on and off.. 

Tried with '"Populate text field in window", however the action is not detecting the UI Element or recognizing the UI Element name
