Converting file: Error from Office Service.

Hi,

I have an old flow, which worked perfectly, but now I get the following error message:

Error from Office Service. Url=https://euc.wordcs.officeapps.live.com/document/export/pdf HttpCode=NotFound cert=subject:;thumbprint: ResponseHeaders=Connection: close
Date: Tue, 23 Apr 2024 06:41:01 GMT
Server: Microsoft-IIS/10.0
X-Powered-By: ASP.NET

I don't understand this issue, why it appears now?

I try to check this issue in other comments, but none of the mentioned solution works for me...

I checked the connections, and the result of create file step, both of these seems to me good.

Do you have any idea, how can I fix it?

Current update from Service Health: https://admin.microsoft.com/#/servicehealth/:/alerts/OD789650 (If you have access to the admin center for your organization.)

May 3, 2024, 4:08 PM EDT
We're monitoring as our change to implement additional service logging saturates the affected environment. Once complete, this should allow us gather more specific data to feed our insights into the underlying root cause of this issue and guide our next troubleshooting steps.

My experience with Microsoft is that it's good news that it is listed in their Service Health. It will be given more priority than individual support tickets.

Next update by: 6 May 2024, 07:30 BST per the post, lets hope.

I spoke with Support yesterday, it looks like the Health Service ticket is the best place to understand when this issue will be fixed and the cause.

@Parth1706 you can see the latest info using this url: Service health - Microsoft 365 admin center assuming you have access.

Although I was able to get my flow working last week using "Convert Work Document to PDF (Premium)", it stopped working today and I am now getting this error message.

"The Graph API rejected the request with the following error message: Code: invalidRequest
Message: The provided drive id appears to be malformed, or does not represent a valid drive."

Is this related? If not, how do I resolve. Thanks!

Health Service OD789650 update (assuming you have access)

So far our investigation has been inconclusive. We're implementing additional service logging to gather more extensive service data and isolate the source of impact.

After implementing our additional service logging, we were still unable to successfully gather the required data. We're working to implement further service logging to aid in our discovery of the root cause of impact, and develop our next troubleshooting steps"

@JT-1964 Was this a flow using OB4B to convert previously, then i assume you changed the logic to use the Word premium convert connector and it was working, and lastly is started failing again yesterday?  Are my assumption correct?

@paulbeck1 All your assumptions are correct.

Was able to resolve by changing from using the input folder path to actually selecting the folder:

When I run using "Folder Path" it fails.  What is odd is that both runs provide the same result at this step, but only works. Here is what both show at this step:

Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Personally, I  think getting it to work is what I'm focusing on.  Most of the flows affected can wait for MS to fix but if urgent we need to work around.

I exported a flow with the Convert File action and imported it to change all the connections to run under my account (I have the SharePoint Admin role) and the flow and Convert File action successfully ran several times. Not sure if my role had anything to do with it or if the export/import did it. May be a possible work around for others.

MS support have provided this update..

We've determined that this issue is a duplicate of another event. Please look for further updates in MO791038. This communication will expire in 72 hours.
This is the final update for the event."

This is very poor from MS.  This has been going on for weeks and the update is to close the ticket and go to another ticket.  A great way to stay within SLA's i guess.  Here is the url to the new ticket Service health - Microsoft 365 admin center  MO791038

We've isolated a potential configuration issue which we believe may be preventing users of the OneDrive for Business connector from converting files through Microsoft Power Automate flows. As we continue to confirm the source for the configuration problem, we're developing a fix to address the configuration and to remediate the impact.

@MeganSP if the flow is running in the context of your account, and it is working, you will need to have a premium licence.

I agree. This is a very poor response. Out tenant doesn't even have access to the post for MO791038 - with the warning "Something went wrong - You don't have permission to access this post.." I've reached out to my service ticket representative to let them know.

Why am i the only one who still cannot see it working? I even delete OneDrive Business connection and re-add it again. But still i got error 404 for all my flow. I live in Bangkok Thailand. Is it because my country not getting a patch from MS?

MS Support say the OD4B pdf convert has been fixed yesterday night.  “Final status: We've determined that the fix was applied successfully, and after a period of monitoring, we've confirmed impact was remediated.”
