Re: Need Help (FLOW ISSUE)

Hello there

I was wondering if somebody could help me figure out what has happened to my Flow. I used a template for "approval" flow but edited it a little bit so that it fits better in the business. I saved the flow template under a new name and it was running fine for 2 weeks, I was able to select any file in "My Files" on One Drive and run this flow on it, however today it stopped working. I select the file and try to select a flow I need and it does nothing. It doesn't display any messages about it failing or going through. It basically does nothing regardless of what button under "Flow" I click on. Even "Request sign-off" doesn't work and wouldn't bring any windows to fill in.

Does anybody have any ideas on what might have happened?

Can you test using a different browser and/or a different PC?

I did clear all the cookies etc and also used different browsers (Firefox, IE and Chrome) and none of them worked. I also logged into my account on my personal Macbook and it didn't work either... I am running out of options on why it might be happening...

When you go to the Flow history, do you see any recent runs?

If so, open up one of the runs and see if there is any indication of what might be going on.

Also, open the Flow in edit mode and re-save .

Yes, I can see the flow history and it shows all the runs that I initiated as successful, when they started and their duration. There is no unsuccessful flows at all. When I go to "Action Items" and then "History", I can see all the approval requests I sent and the "approved" outcome. I also looked in the "Sent" section to check whether maybe the notification was missing but the flow actually started, but unfortunately it didn't. I have done that, I even "Saved it as", renamed and turned off the other one, but it still hasn't worked. I also clicked on "Flow checker" within the flow editing mode, but it hasn't displayed any errors in there...

I am so sorry to be a pain, but I have no idea why it would suddenly stop working after a couple of weeks especially when there were no changes to the flow template over the Easter.

Do you think it may be something to do with the administrator settings? The subscription is managed by my employer and I wonder if maybe they have the option to restrict users' files to be ran on flow? I have no idea, but perhaps knowing it is an option would mean I can talk to them and find out if that's the case.

I'm not sure why this is happening. Can you post a screen shot of your Flow in edit mode - that is a good place to start.

Have you tried re-saving the Flows?

As a test, can you do the following:

Create a new list
Create a for a selected item Flow and see if it works properly

I tried re-saving the flow as a "Test" run and it still hasn't worked.

What do you mean by saying "create a new list"? Do you mean create a new flow ? I'm sorry but my knowledge is limited and the flows I created are really basic. I created them just to have an audit trail for some of the processing.

The way I ran the flow before was, I copied the files into One Drive, selected the file I needed approving and then clicked Flow at the top of the page and selected the flow I wanted to run. At that point it would show me a notification that "The flow has started". I could then see it in the Sent approval requests, whereas now when I do exactly the same thing, it just does nothing, It still shows the available flows to use, but when I click on any of them, it does nothing else and nothing is running.

I tried creating a new flow and it still is not doing anything when I select to run. I even can't run it in test mode, because it shows the following message:

I'm out of ideas on this. I would strongly consider putting in a service ticket with Microsoft. An Office 365 admin will need to do this for you.

Hi,

I would also suggest opening a ticket with Microsoft Customer Support. It seems like for some reason the webhook isnt triggering the flow and so its not firing. I have no idea why this is happening and it will probably require some in-depth troubleshooting. I'll include a link below; on how to create a ticket with Microsoft if you decide to go down that route.
