Re: Planner tasks based SharePoint column

Hey,

So you can basically do the following and remove the condition, on the trigger, go into the settings and set the condition start to:

@or(equals(triggerBody()?[‘SubmittedTo'],'Armando Garcia'), equals(triggerBody()?[‘SubmittedTo']?['value'],'Scott Adler')

So you know exactly what to replace this with : triggerBody()?[‘SubmittedTo']

Just copy the left side of your condition and paste into note pad, it will paste as text, as maybe your field anme is Submitted_x0020x_To

Re: Planner tasks based SharePoint column

Hi,

How far have you got?

Use the Trigger When item is created or modified.

If you are expecting the value of a column to be a certain value you can check for this using a condition in the configuration of the trigger such as one of the following examples:

Do not run on Create

@not(equals(triggerBody()?['Created'],triggerBody()?['Modified’]))

Do not run if created by a user

@not(equals(triggerBody()?['Editor']?['Email'],'svc-SPAppsFlowAdmin@company.com’))

Run if Status is one of these with a OR

@or(equals(triggerBody()?[‘Status']?['Value'],'Rejected by Procurement'), equals(triggerBody()?[‘Status']?['value'],'Completed'))

Run if a value of 0 is set on a field.

@equals(triggerBody()?['hiddenEmailSent'],'0')

Hi @AntwainPatrick,

Which step are you stuck? If you already create an uncompleted Flow but do not know the next steps, you can share your screenshots.

You could provide detailed requirements so that we can provide detailed solutions.

Re: Planner tasks based SharePoint column

Honestly I'm coming over from learning PowerApps and I have no idea where to start.  I've been through the templates they provide in the Flow web interface but there's no step by step to help you step flow up properly.  I used the "Create a Planner task for a selected item in Sharepoint" template but than providing the empty template boxes, there's zero instructions!

Re: Planner tasks based SharePoint column

I'm new to Flow, coming from PowerApps, and I need some direction.  The Templates don't really help explaining why or how to move to the next step.  I'm going to try the Create Planner Task when Sharepoint item is modified template with your :

@or(equals(triggerBody()?[‘Status']?['Value'],'Rejected by Procurement'), equals(triggerBody()?[‘Status']?['value'],'Completed')

I have two Engineers names to use as triggers and I'm only assuming but triggerBody is where their names go? Are they seperated by (,) or (;) there?

I have column in Sharepoint list called "Submitted To" and it remains blank in my PowerApps application until the job in finished and ready to be submit to engineer.  At that point in time my designers select a Engineer from dropdown and submit the form back to Sharepoint.
