Moving Files Between 2 FTP's

Below is my current Flow. When a new file is added to the FTP folder, Flow takes the file and copies it to another FTP.

What I would like to add is a step that moves the file on the first FTP to a "Processed" folder.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @gm355 ,

Following @Jay-Encodian 's suggestion, you seem to consider adding another Create file action under Create file, with the Folder path configured as the first FTP Processed folder.

Delete the Copy file action. When you configure the Delete file action, the File field needs to be configured with the File id output when a file is added or modified.

Please take a try.

Hey @gm355

I don't have an SFTP connection to provide a screen shot... however I think you need to do the following.

After you have created the file on the destination SFTP... simply add two further actions:

  • Copy File: To copy the source file to the 'processed' folder
  • Delete File: To delete the original file which triggered the Flow

Thanks @Jay-Encodian . So like this? What do I put as the Destination file path?

Hi @gm355

You need to put the location of the 'Processed' Folder.

Looking at the delete file action... you'll need to check the value passed in. I'd expect the filename alone will not work... you may need to append the filepath and filename variables from the trigger action... there my well be a property on the trigger action which fully identifies the file.
