Attempting to set a MSSQL Server DB value back to null

I'm attempting to set a MSSQL Server DB GUID field value to null by patching the data source with Blank() - however this does not seem to work.  The update query does not return an error, but it does not remove the GUID.  How can I remove a GUID from a SQL Server field correctly?

Re: Attempting to set a MSSQL Server DB value back to null

Yes I afterwards saw that there is another request in to allow data sources such as MSSQL to accept Blank() as a db null value for any field that allows it regardless of datatype.

Workaround for me was to use a zeroed-out GUID instead of a null value for now.

Re: Attempting to set a MSSQL Server DB value back to null

Hi @rmeany ,

The reason why you can not updated blank value to a guid field is that blank value is not guid data type.

The field's data type decide only guid data could be inserted in.

To solve this, I suggest you turn this setting on:

Turning this on could make insert data no need to check data type.

So you could update guid field with blank value.
