Automatically login with username and password

I was wondering if there is way to autologon to a PowerApp within the browser. 

For example:

https://apps.powerapps.com/play/<APPID>?tenantId=<TENANTID>&username=example1&password=test123

No unfortunately - the whole idea of Microsoft authentication is that the logged-in user (to Office 365) has the proper permissions / licensing to run the app and access the data source.

Uhh yeah. I understand that. My question was if there is a way to use a predefined username + password (ofcourse with a proper license). I thought that the <parameters> in the url made that obvious 🙂

Not as far as I am aware, however, I was being diplomatic as your query could be intended to log anyone using it in with a generic user name and password (there have been other queries directly asking this before).

No, it's not possible to autologin by specifying the username and password in the URL.

Microsoft take security seriously and they wouldn't allow a method where you can specify Microsoft 365 usernames and passwords in the URL (eg, a technique where the plaintext password can end up in a browser cache, the browser address bar history, the password be exposed to ISPs during a DNS lookup, etc).

Perhaps you can explain why you want to do this, and maybe someone can offer a workaround? For example, could you use the Windows 10 Power App player instead, which can cache the login details?

Please can you advise how you would stop the 'auto' login of PowerAPPs on mobile device

We have a tablet that is used by multiple staff (same job role/ different shift ).  The tablet is shared across different staff, but they all have individual MS 365 Accounts and logon's.

The issue we face is that although a user logs out at the end of the shift, you simply have to click that user name to be logged back on.   PowerAPPS does not ask for a password following the 1st successful login.

How can I make it that the APP is asking for the password for each logon by the staff member.

To prevent unwanted usage of that auth mode is a thing.
To prevent it for good with the excuse of security is pure BS.

That's what real life users need in real world.
That's the kind of things that turns people away from a usable platform.

I built an app to be used by accountless guests, to be used with a specific, limited rights, service/shared user, and now I can't use it because of narrow minded devs @ MS.

If I launch it from Desktop frontend in W10 kiosk mode, it will retain the account, but it will allow users to close the app and frustrate next user.
If I launch it from web, I can hide the bar, but I need to manually insert the login data every now and then.

The more I search on the topics, the more I realize I wasted months of development.
That's somewhat frustrating.
It's clear I'll have to look away from MS.
Power Platform is just for crappy SMBs, not Enterprise ready.

Hi I have a question, on a iPad when I log on to Word and it authenticates me,  Excel and Power point all auto log on without me entering my credentials.  When I open Power Apps it does not auto log on,  it ask for my users to log on on and enter there password?  Any help would be appreciated. trying to have it auto log on so it does not do that?
