Automatically moving label on start of App

I am trying to get the label to scroll across from the right using duration.

Hi @Hnasir1231 

You will need to follow these steps:

1. Insert a timer
2. Set a variable to start your timer as the last bit of code in the onvisible property of your screen - 'Set(varTimerStart, true)
3. In the 'Start' Property of your timer, add above variable 'varTimerStart'
4. Adjust the Timer 'Duration' Property from the default of 60secs (60000) down to your desired duration (i.e. 10secs is 10000.
5. Then simply apply some maths to the X property of your label to set its position using the changing value of the timer as follows;
   1. YourScreen.Width-(Timer1.Value/Timer1.Duration*(YourScreen.Width+Self.Width))
6. Lastly, if you want to have this repeating, change the 'Repeat' property of the timer to 'true'.

This is what I have which works - this is applied to the X property of the label:

I notice the error is flagged under the minus sign - Can you try deleting/re-adding this incase it has gone in as some other type of symbol and not a simple minus operator. 

Lastly, just try hard coding the actual number in place of the 2nr Screen.Width instances

@Hnasir1231 - Just thinking, I set mine up with buttons to change the start variable to true and false. It may be that with the Onvisible approach, all the referenced properties have not yet fully surfaced and the formula triggers before the associated values are available. So it may be best just to hard code the screen width values and the label width.

@AmDev Came here for one issue and you solved that one and another! I'm trying to understand the code word-by-word but I'm having trouble figuring out how it did what it did. I'm trying to create a power app that acts as a slow-moving chyron (like some news stations have), displaying text and scrolling through it slowly. But the text was coming in from left to right (which was awkward because we read left to right) and the speed of the text was tied to the duration of the Timer and I wanted it tied to the length of the text. If you have time, my question is; how did this single line of code accomplish both of these things? I'm trying to break it down but I can't figure it out. Thank you!

YourScreen.Width-(Timer1.Value/Timer1.Duration*(YourScreen.Width+Self.Width))
1366                          10             /           20            *          1366             +        ?

My Screen Width = 1366
Timer Value = I believe this changes so I inputted 10 above as an example/placeholder

Timer Duration = its a 20 second timer

Self Width = the width of the input?
